I bought this battery replacement for my DualSense controller after the original one started dying way too quickly. The installation was straightforward. I just followed a quick YouTube guide, and everything fit perfectly. The new battery holds a charge way longer than the original, and my controller feels brand new again. If you’re comfortable with a small screwdriver and taking your controller apart carefully, this is 100% worth it. Saved me from buying a whole new controller. Highly recommend! Read more

Exactly what I needed to avoid spending 150 plus on 2 new controllers!!!! Batteries fit great and came with the tools needed to change (tiny plastic pry tool and Phillips screw driver) after watching a quick YouTube video it literally took 10 minutes to change both batteries. Will update if longevity turns out to be an issue but I'm fairly confident it won't. Great batteries and should be an upgrade over stock Read more

Received the battery yesterday, installed yesterday. Battery came decently charged, only took about half an hour to finish off. Replacement is SO easy. Way easier than PS3 was. Turn off controller. Avoid turning it on accidently. Pull off bumpers by using pry tool and prying against bottom triggers. They pop right out. Use the edge of the pry tool and lift the trim piece on the bottom of each leg. Gently rotate it up and pull it out and over the sticks. There are 4 screws and 2 clasps. The screws are in the bumper holes and bottom of each leg, and clasps are where the mic and headphone jack is. Unclip them gently, they break easily. Rotate the bottom of the controller upwards and push out so it pops off the triggers. The battery is just under this. Pull the old one, replace new in same spot. Reassemble in reverse order, being careful not to damage either microphone. Note, these are PLASTIC. The little screws provided aren't. It is VERY EASY to over tighten the screws. Overtightning will result in a case that doesn't stay fully together, and has a little squish. Same with the tabs, if you break them off it'll cause the case to not fully seat. This won't harm the controller but it's annoying. I was surprised to see that this battery was actually smaller than the original, meaning I could potentially fit an even bigger battery in. I'd bet a 5 or 6000 mah battery would work if it was the right dimensions. Charged it up and so far it's way better. The old controller was bought used when I got the PS5 and couldn't afford a new 2nd controller. Unfortunately, the battery only lasted a whole 2 hours before it was too low to play, AND it never seems to charge all the way, so often times it would be even less. Charged right up on the dock and lasted a good 3 hours without dropping a bar on the indicator. Will update Read more

Uploaded several pics. Tried highlighting old OEM battery & new battery with Pic of sticky tape on backside. Small size discrepancy vs original; tape stops it from moving around the battery compartment. Highly recommend watching a thorough YT video on safely opening your controller to see clip locations. Spudger broke alarmingly easily while undoing the first clip on the bottom of the controller. Since this contained 2 batteries, I didn't expect it to break on the first job I used it for. Anyway, after trying again with the other side, I successfully got the first black piece of trim off. Then I tried popping the side clips of the controller and just kept failing. I ended up having to use my iFixIt spudger, which is slightly thicker and sturdier and handled the job a bit easier. I didn't want to risk breaking the controller's frail clips. That said, the screwdriver is nice for a freebie. Just the right size for the 4x screws you need to remove, and it's magnetic so you don't have to worry about dropping them as you're taking them out/putting them back in. Even has a nice little rubber ergonomic grip. As far as battery life, I'll have to report back on that. It came with what my ps5 perceived as a full charge (3/3 bars), and I'm not going to try putting it on the charger while it's showing full battery. I had to replace my old battery in this controller because it would show 3/3 bars (full), and proceed to tell me it had low battery not even 10 minutes later, then die within 1 minute of getting that message. Hopefully this one lasts a long time - battery life was abysmal on these controllers out of the box. New one touts 4,000 mAh, old one says 1650 mAh (~2.5x). Time will tell - I'll edit this after I've had a few charge/deplete cycles with it. One star knocked off for this being marketed as an all in one solution for a battery replacement, and coming with such a cheap tool. I honestly think they could've just omitted the tools and maybe knocked a dollar or two off the price, leading consumers to buy sturdier tools for this job. Otherwise this is a pretty fantastic value. Read more

Bought these to replace the failing batteries in my PS5 controllers. The replacements are slightly smaller than the originals, but come with a sticker to keep them in place. My controllers work great and stay charged now Read more

Took like 15 minutes to install both, I haven't had either on a charger in 2 days and they still have 3 bars. Definitely worth it. Saved me $150+ on two new Dualsense when my current 4yr old black controllers worked perfectly aside from battery life. Definitely recommend. Read more
