MY 2 original Dualsense Controllers batteries were finally starting to show failure in charge capacity. They could just about stay fully charged for 45min - 1hr. Looked around for decent or great replacement batteries instead of buying a new controller. Most mAh capacity batteries were around 1500-3500. The OEM batteries for the Dualsense are typically 1000-1350 mAh depending on the model and release. This one is 5000 mAh which means if you compare it to a new controller out of the box, it should last 3.2-5 times as long, which is going from 8 hours to about 20-40 hours on a single charge. This is easy to install and fits perfectly in the battery cradle. 100% functionality and no compatibility issue with the launch model - CFI-ZCT1W (1500mAh oem battery). Excellent pricing as well. So far so good, I'll update if there are issues, but the batteries came fully charged & were easy to install. All tools required for installation are included, although if you have a small magnetic philips screwdriver I'd use that to avoid dropping the tiny screws. I suggest watching a video but have written up text instructions below. Instructions: 1) Remove piece that wraps from the arms over the PlayStation logo/button by pulling on each end & inserting the flathead screwdriver at the joint at the far edge of the arm to release the ends, then using the plastic pry tool to release clips. 2) Pop out the left and right bumpers with the plastic pry tool. 3) Unscrew 4 screws with the philips screwdriver: 1 at the end of each arm, 1 under each bumper. 4) There are 2 visible clips holding the top & bottom pieces together, 1 on either side of the PlayStation logo - pull the plastic up while releasing those clips with the pry tool. Then pull the pieces apart, running the pry tool along the outside (there are clips on the outside near the bumpers). 5) Now you have access to the battery - pull the connector off & attach the new one (it will only connect the correct way). Use the pry tool to make sure the new battery connector is fully engaged. Bend the wires a little to the side & put the battery where the old one was. 6) Put the pieces & screws back in reverse order. Do not overtighten the screws. Make sure you fully engage all clips. Don't use a lot of force - wiggle over/under obstructions & gently push. 7) Enjoy! Read more

After about 4 years of use, my Dual Sense controllers were down to about 2-3hours of charge on heavy use. Annoying to have to switch them out constantly on a weekend day of playing. So, I ordered these batteries. I have 15 years of experience taking apart and repairing computers as my job and on my free time. The process to replace these batteries is very approachable and finding a YouTube video showing how it’s done is simple enough. Took less than 5 minutes to do each one and *so far*, the results are fantastic. The battery life is much improved. I’d say 9-12 hours of heavy use per charge. The fact that the kit comes with 2 batteries at such a low price, and with the kit including everything needed to replace the batteries, is a huge plus. I’ll update my review if there are any future concerns with the batteries. Read more

So far, these batteries work like a dream! My DualSense had to be plugged in at all times to keep the battery from dying, and now that I’ve replaced the battery, I can keep it off the cord for 4-6 hours at a time! Seriously, a game changer. The included tools also make it easy to take apart the controller without having a set of screwdrivers at the ready. Read more

The media could not be loaded. After getting annoyed at my 3 year old PS5 controllers, not lasting more than 3 hours between chargers, I decided to roll the dice, and try these batteries. It's nice, because I have two controllers, so if it worked, I'd have them both upgraded. Well, happy to say, these batteries surpassed my expectations! I wanted to see just how long they would go, but after 9 hours, playing Fallout 76, there was STILL one bar left in the battery meter! In essence, the controller outlasted ME! Granted, the stock batteries are 1560 MAH, but when they were new, they would last around 5~6 hours. These batteries say 6000 MAH, and I believe it! Takes less than 5 min to swap, and all the tools are included! So far, so good. I'll be updating this, in a few months, to see how long they keep their performance. At this price, it's a win-win! My PS5 controller(s) battery life quickly became shorter and shorter to the point where it wouldn't charge anymore. After swapping out the old with the new battery, they now feel brand new and last much longer. This fairly easy fix was well worth it and saved me time, money and headaches. Read more
