I put it on the fireplace in the living room. Inside are our group photos from the trip, and the CD is the songs we played on loop during that journey. Whenever a friend visits, it becomes the "emotional focus". Not only will everyone look at the photos, but they will also immerse themselves in the music and listen to us share the stories of our travels. It is not merely a decoration; it is also the narrator of our family's story. Read more

I really wanted to love this. On paper, this picture frame with a built in CD music player is a fantastic concept. It’s nostalgic, decorative, and genuinely fun. The frame itself looks nice, feels like it could be a great conversation piece, and the idea of combining photos with physical music is honestly charming. Unfortunately, I never got to experience any of that. The moment I inserted the battery, the unit began smoking and turning red. Not “warm.” Not “acting up.” Smoking. The protective film on the lithium battery melted. That is extremely dangerous and absolutely unacceptable for a consumer product meant to be used in a home. For anyone unfamiliar: a lithium battery overheating like that is a serious fire risk. Best case scenario, you ruin the product. Worst case? You’re dealing with a house fire or an explosion. I removed the battery immediately, but the damage (and concern) was already done. It’s especially disappointing because the frame seems well thought out otherwise, and I was excited to try the CD playback and wireless audio support. Sadly, I didn’t get the chance to use it beyond those first few terrifying seconds. Until the manufacturer addresses this issue and improves quality control, I cannot recommend this product to anyone. No décor item, no matter how clever, is worth risking your safety. Read more
buys some stuff—January 17, 2026
This picture frame and CD player are by themselves rather hard to work with, unless it's only for the one CD. I do not see anything about it that justifies its ludicrously high list price. I can not see this as anything other than a terrible value. The wood frame is not especially nice and the CD player isn't that interesting or attractive to merit the thick, box-like structure of this picture frame. I am just not seeing the idea here... in fact, I was so unprepared for the reality of this item that I thought it must have been a picture screen that plays a rolling loop of photos and that plays music. That would have been cool! But, this is just the sort of thing I might have made as a hobby, or someone else did and gave it to me. Just a waste of space, really. I do not recommend anyone buy it and I am not satisfied. Read more
