Honestly exceeded my hopes and expectations! Our cat has to take a chemo pill every 2 weeks and I was very anxious about it… if she spits it out then there is chemo residue all over, not ideal. Administered her first dose last night and this tool made it a breeze! I will admit the pill was slightly loose at first, resolved this by just angling the pill so it partially in the slit for more support and that worked. My husband held her (wrapped in a towel) and it was straightforward to put the rubber end deep, plunge, held her mouth for a few seconds to be sure and then it was done. She also takes a nightly dose of liquid medication and it’s more difficult than using this tool to administer a pill! Not sure how long it will last, but given the price? If we have to replace it then it’s not a crisis. Read more
My cat is on antibiotics for life for a persistent upper respiratory tract infection and this has helped me to deliver the capsules without getting bit and it is quick and easy. I also use it to administer his monthly flea meds as it holds a tablet as well as capsules. I butter the capsules and tablet first and they go down smoothly! Read more
This works very well and my dog tolerates it pretty well, 100 pound German Shepherd whereas putting pills down the back of her throat manually is quite a challenge. The diameter of this is such that small pills like levothyroxine are barely held, but I haven’t had one just fall out yet. It’s also very small so that larger pills like antibiotics cannot be retained by this, in fact, it’s probably only good at this size for those small levothyroxine type pills. I still give it a five because it works reliably and the price was good. Read more
I have to give my cat wormer pills because he is allergic to the liquid on the skin. This pill shooter saved the day and made things easy for everyone involved. Highly recommend! Read more
It worked for us, but not as easily as I thought it would. The tip wasn't large enough to hold the pill that we needed to administer. The pill wasn't overly large, but it was thick, and the tip didn't hold it as securely as I would have liked it to. Overall, good purchase. Read more
Excelsnt size and works great. Our little Chion is not a pull taker and won't just eat them or eat soft food like cheese or hotdogs to hide it in. Read more
Works only half the time. The pills for my chihuahua are pretty small but they slip out of the shooter and I can't cut them because they have an extended release coating. I have to stick this way far down her throat and at that point, fingers honestly do the trick better. Read more
No more getting bit trying to shove a pill down the kittens throat. Their thing helped so much. Wrap them in a towel, football hold, and pop the pill down their throat. So glad I bought it. Read more
