Can't say one way or the other if these helped my pimples get better, but they do not seem to be getting worse. You get a good number of patches, 3 packs of 30, in various sizes to cover all sizes of blemishes. Which come on bifurcated cellulose sheets for ease of peeling off the backing. These are almost clear patches with just enough opacity to make blemishes harder to detect and the patches are relatively invisible themselves, which is super nice to help hide your imperfections. I was wearing them working outside in high heat/humidity and tried to scratch them off a couple of times from mild irritation, not realizing before scratching it was the patches, but I was out there a long time and for the most part forgot these were on my face. I do not have cystic acne and on the packaging it says not to use these for that. The package doesn't mention how long to wear the patches for but on the sellers page on amazon it says from 8 hours to overnight. Peel off when they "are white from gunk absorbed". I've been wearing them for about 12 hours a piece and I guess my little blemishes haven't gotten bigger, but they also haven't gotten smaller, or alas, gone away completely. Final answer is between ok and inconsequential for my hormone induced blemishes. P.S. I got these for my teenage niece and nephew (13 and 15) as they face puberty and all those fun hormonal changes that come along with it. They put them on overnight as needed, and report back that they feel the patches work and help reduce the size and timeframe of pimples and zits. This set is nice because the resealable pouches make it easy to stash them here or there. There are several sizes which is also handy. They go on easily and can be worn overnight without issue. I used pimple patches bascially everyday. Whethere its on myself or for my partner, we go through a lot. Naturally, I have tried quite a few brands. These are an okay choice, but they do have their flaws. Things I look for with pimple patches is that they are not the same consistency the entire circle. I like the product to be very obvious in the center because then I know it's there. These don't have that and I feel like that's why they weren't as effective. It pulls some of the issue out, but it doesn't eliminate the problem as effectively as others. They are clear so once you have them on you can't tell. That's a good thing. We love that.
