This Dr. Zitacne pack is a massive 255-count set, which is significantly more patches for a fraction of the cost. How they Compare I was worried these might be "cheap" knockoffs that wouldn't actually heal anything, but they performed surprisingly well compared to the original Starface patches: Adhesion: These actually stay on better through the night. I’ve had the name-brand ones peel off on my pillow, but these are still firmly in place when I wake up. Hydrocolloid Quality: They do exactly what they’re supposed to do—pull out the gunk. You can see the patch turn white over the blemish, and by morning, the inflammation is way down. The Look: The yellow color is vibrant and the star shape is clean. They don't look like "fakes" once they're on your skin. Skin Sensitivity I have fairly sensitive skin, and some adhesives can leave a red ring behind. I didn't experience any irritation with these. They peel off easily without tugging at the skin, which is a big plus. Final Verdict If you’re buying these for the "cute" factor but want them to actually work, this is a perfect alternative. so the patches do pull out some gunk, but are very thin. i like that they do sit close to the skin/are easy to sleep in, but when i have a deep acne breakout i have to change the patch often when a thicker patch from other brands i wouldn't need to. that said - would buy again bc i use them more (who doesn't want to use colorful cute patches instead?!) TLDR: quality decreased. This kind of sucks now. I don’t usually like to write reviews because it’s a lot of work and I’m lazy, but I have to express my thoughts for these pimple stickers. This used to be my favorite pimple sticker brand and used to be a 5/5 star rating and a pimple sticker brand I would recommend to anyone. I was using this for a long time, for at least like a year. However, unfortunately, recently there seems to be a formula change that decrease. It bothers me so much so I feel like I have to write this review. The older version used to be more sheer (perfect for going out and not looking too crazy) and great absorption. The new version has a weird print for the colors, all of the colors are darker and more concentrated and weird shade. The absorption ability is also poor compared to the older one, making it less effective. The older version has a more pastel and youthful color and the newer version looked worn and vintage and muted, it looks terrible. I would forgive the ugliness of the colors if the absorption ability itself remains the same, however the material itself just seem to not be as good as it used to be. The material also breaks more easily and rips as I try to peel it off of my face. Also, the blue pimple sticker’s dye comes off really easily On the left is the older version and on the right is the recent products I’ve received for photo reference. You can see that the left is more sheer and has a more soft and pastel color while the right one is very worn and muted. This brand went from being the only pimple sticker brand I use to being just another mediocre product in the masses. I am unsure if this is a temporary quality control issue or if this is a permanent formulation change. I hope this is just a quality control issue and that this is not a permanent change in formulation. 3/5. 1 star for nostalgia for what it used to be and 2 stars for still somewhat functioning.
