The media could not be loaded. This is a cute little low-intensity color-changing mood light with a remote that allows you to choose white-ish light, 15 different preset colors from individual buttons, or four different cycle functions that change the colors or brightness continuously. It contains a battery which is chargeable through a USB C port, and which is advertised to last through the night. (I have not tested the duration). What interested me more was: will this still work as a light if the charging cord remains plugged in? The answer is "Yes, it does." The video is misleading due to the automatic brightness and color adjustment of phone cameras. That makes the light surface appear to be an unchanging color as it is cycled from one color to the next. Look on the nearby surfaces to see the colors change. In live use, that colors are quite dramatic. I was going to knock off a star because there was no instruction in the box that defined how to snap the chain links together, but the images on the box turned out to be adequate for explaining that. Just don't toss the box until you have figured out what all those little pieces are for. Also no instructions for the remote, but pushing the buttons is all the explanation needed. It is a cute novelty for providing a subdued light to a remote area, but it is not a replacement for a reading or display lamp For what it is, I give it 5 stars. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I got this for my nephew who LOVES Minecraft, and it was a hit. It wasn’t yet charged when I reviewed it, so the light turned off, but once charged had no issues! It looks like an animated light from the game, and I think is of great quality. It has different color options and a remote, making it functional and a great addition to any Minecraft fans room! Looks like images but made cheaply. The chain and the arm are both too frail to hold the lantern. The lantern itself is cool though. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I give this a 5 star rating because of the aesthetics, ability to change the colors, and brightness. The over all item is plastic and feels ok. It’s not meant to be moved around and physically used in anyway besides hanging from the wall giving off a light source. My 7 year old loves it because it looks right out of mine-craft. He uses it as a night light. The light emitted is decently bright if in a dark room. How ever its not going to be that noticeable if you have normal over head light on. What is nice about this is that you only need to screw the base into the wall and then you can slide the light up and off to charge instead of running a long power wire. The remote works well and does come with batteries. The package also comes with a charging cable. The light lasts for several hours of continuous use. So if you are only using it intermittently it should last a long time between charges. Over all it functions well, is made of decent quality materials, decent brightness and battery life. The main selling point is that it looks from mine-craft and can change colors. Read more

Can not recommend enough! its looks wonderful in my kids' room and they love being able to change the colors. its easy to instal and has the pixel details. It catches the eye, and they get numerous compliments whenever they have people over and they turn it on. Kids and Teens really enjoy the throwback into the game and it matches everything in my child's room. Wonderful gift and deco idea. Read more

The media could not be loaded. My son requested this specifically because it looks just like the lanterns in Minecraft. We gave it to him as an early Christmas gift, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Even though it is made of plastic, it looks great hung up, and we get a lot of comments on how cool it is. Functionally, it holds up well. We tested the battery on a full charge, and it lasted us exactly 8 hours and 22 minutes. It also charges quickly, and the remote is handy for cycling through the different colors and brightness levels. The only downside is the mounting design. The stick that attaches the lantern to the wall bracket is a bit loose and detaches too easily. It actually fell off the wall once, but remarkably, it survived the drop and still works perfectly. We may end up gluing the stick to the mount to secure it. Note that it doesn't come with screws, but installation was otherwise very simple. Overall, we are very pleased with it and wouldn't hesitate to order another one. Read more
