Looks Great - Creases iron out easily if you treat it like Corduroy pants.
We already dealt with the concern about potential scratches on our hardwood floors by swapping out the plastic (nylon?) casters that came with my wife's working chair with some nice Roller Blade-style casters (search for "The Original Roller Style Office Chair Wheels" on Amazon). These work SO well that we needed something that would provide a bit of resistance so her chair wouldn't drift when she's working. That's where this Corduroy mat came in. We didn't want an actual carpet that was going to bunch up or twist up under the wheels but still wanted most of the friction it could provide. This corduroy mat seems to be a happy medium between plush carpet and smooth flooring and so far, so good. We haven't removed the plastic backing to make the carpet stick in place more effectively yet, and we may not do so as it doesn't seem to slide around on the floor in her office. But it's nice to know we have the option. BTW the ironing instructions provided by the manufacturer were pretty vague. Treat this like you would a pair of corduroy pants: Iron it on your "Cotton" setting and put down a damp cloth to both protect the fabric and to steam out the creases. A couple of passes over each of the creases with the iron and it looked just fine. And for the people whinging about not having an iron in the office; Really? Bring one in tomorrow, iron out the creases and take it home again. It's not the end of the world. Read more
