Firstly, the quality is outstanding. The material feels durable and well-constructed, capable of withstanding daily wear and tear. It provides a smooth surface that makes it easy to move my office chair around without any hassle. Secondly, the mat stays in place. Unlike some other mats I've tried, this one doesn't slide around, even on my hardwood floor. It has a grip that keeps it firmly anchored, ensuring I don't have to constantly readjust it. The size is perfect for my needs. It covers the area around my desk adequately, protecting my floor from scratches and marks. The clear design also blends seamlessly with the room's decor, adding functionality without being an eyesore. Read more

I recently purchased this chair mat for my home office, which exceeded my expectations. The dark gray color looks fantastic against my off-white carpeting, and it feels much better under my desk chair wheels compared to my old hard plastic mat. One of the standout features is its sound-dampening ability, which has noticeably improved the acoustics in my office. I can now use my computer audio for meetings without sounding like Iโm in an echo chamber. While the sound difference isnโt huge, itโs definitely noticeable. The mat lays flat right out of the box and grips well on smooth surfaces, preventing any slipping. However, I did notice some slight curling at the edges under heavy weight, which can be a bit annoying. Additionally, if you have a high pile carpet, you might need an extra mat underneath for better support. Overall, Iโm very pleased with this purchase. It looks great, reduces noise, and provides a stable surface for my chair. I highly recommend it, especially if youโre looking for an alternative to the typical clear plastic mats. Read more
Excellent. Lays smooth and flat. Does not wrinkle. Easy to keep clean with vacuum or damp clothes. Had one with a texture. Dirt and dust got in the ridges. Very hard to keep looking clean. Have this one in the livingroom to cover damaged laminate flooring and under a recliner. Chair does not slide on it. Heavy use area and a little hand vacuum does the job. Read more
My old plastic chair mat was breaking up and needed to be replaced. After a lot of research I discovered this mat. Now itโs unlikely that I will buy the standard plastic mat again. My chair doesnโt sink into this mat as it did with the standard plastic mat. I no longer struggle to roll out of the โvalleysโ when repositioning my chair. The surface provides just the right amount of friction so that I donโt have to focus on keeping my chair still, and yet it isnโt difficult to roll my chair when necessary. And there isnโt any noise when I move around. It is easy to carry and move around: not heavy and there are no painful spikes to avoid. And it doesnโt smell (for those with a sensitivity to aromas). Addendum: I still prefer this chair mat over a plastic mat, but nothing is perfect. After about a month of use I have noticed that the edges have a tendency to snag the wheels on my chair if I roll beyond the edge and try to roll back onto the mat. Also, the corners have a tendency to curl up (tripping hazard). I have to gently roll them under occasionally. After about a year of use: The tripping hazard mentioned previously has become a problem. See the second photo. I have stumbled on the raised corners and edges several times. And the rollers on my chair frequently get stuck and bend the edges of the mat if they go beyond the edge. So I have reduced my rating from five to three stars. Read more

Bought this 2 pack chair mat set to put under my office chair in our basement that only has a concrete floor. I was worried they might slide around because the floor isn't completely level but they've stayed in place nicely for the couple of weeks I've had them down. I couldn't decide, at first, whether it would be better with them or without them since the casters on my chair roll so easily on the concrete whereas the mats add a bit of hold but it makes the sound of the rolling casters silent and the bit of hold is actually nice .... Anyway, they seem to work great. They're very thin which I don't mind as they allow the casters to roll well. I'm using both mats to make one larger mat and if they had offered one mat the size of two that would have been ideal for my situation as I'm using a fairly wide desk and I wanted to have a bit of fabric under my feet as well as under the chair but the two-pack works. You just see the rounded corners where they meet. Not a big deal especially since this is a basement office. I haven't tried cleaning them yet and am curious about how difficult that might be given the fibers. They're kind of like a very fine, smoother version of a door mat which sometimes holds onto dirt like velcro. But they're so thin and the fibers are so fine I don't expect it to be a problem. I'll update if it turns out to be difficult. Oh, and some people have complained about creases and folds but mine came rolled and had none of those problems. Overall, they work well for my purpose. I have had this mat for about a month. I needed a mat to protect my hardwood floor from my office chair's wheels, and also to add some friction so my chair would feel more stable on the floor and not roll around so easily. I would recommend this mat for that purpose. The first picture shows the mat right after vacuuming it; the second pic shows it after not being vacuumed for several days. It does pick up some dust as any surface would but it's easily vacuumed. The third pic shows the detail of the construction of the mat and the hem/edge. It's a nice, unassuming design. You can see that the wheels of the chair wear down the felt-like material a bit (there's a lighter area where the wheels roll). That might be addressed with some more heavy-duty cleaning using a damp rag. Read more
