I've purchased plastic mattress bags before usually from the "well known big Home Improvement/hardware stores" but decided to buy this one instead this time. This item seemed stronger and more dependable for coverage than others I've purchased. I actually bought this one as a cover for a tall cat tree we needed to put into storage and it worked out great but I can tell from the quality that it would be perfect for a mattress as well. This worked perfectly for what I needed it for. Our garbage bulk pick up requires us to wrap our box spring mattress in plastic. Buying this was much more efficient and cheaper than physically wrapping it in plastic wrap. Every other feature didn’t matter for my intended purpose since it’s going straight into the trash. It didn’t rip in the short duration that I needed it for. Highly recommend if you are required to do the same thing for bulk pickup. I used this 1.5MIL plastic mattress bag to move my queen-size mattress across town last month. It’s not fancy, but it definitely helped keep the mattress clean and dry during the move, which is exactly what I needed. The bag is large enough to easily fit a queen mattress with a little wiggle room. I slid the mattress in myself (a second person would’ve made it easier), folded the open end under, and sealed it shut with packing tape. The plastic is thin but manageable—definitely not meant for rough handling though. I was careful not to drag it across the ground, and I didn’t have any rips. It’s worth noting there’s no built-in seal or zipper, so you’ll need your own tape to close it. Also, don’t expect this to hold up if you’re doing a long-distance move or storing the mattress for months in a damp basement. It’s more of a one-time-use, budget-friendly cover. Bottom line: for a quick move or short-term storage, it works fine. Just treat it gently and tape it well. If you want something thicker or reusable, you’ll need to spend more. Read more

If you have a queen size mattress like I have that is pure white, you want to put a bag over it when you move or store it to keep it from getting dirty but, this bag isn't a good option. My mattress is heavy, bulky, no handles and it's pure white and I wanted to have a good quality bag over the bed to keep it clean because I'm donating it to a charitable organization and I don't want to give them something dirty. The bag is a good fit and it leaves enough room to tape up the ends but, the issue I have with this bag is, it is entirely too thin to be protecting a thick heavy mattress like mine. The bag tore several times just trying to grip the mattress, it tore trying to slide the bag on even though I had the mattress standing on end. The price point for this bag is this great. And if you just need a mattress bag for something you're putting in a storage unit and you cover it up when you get it in there, and this will be just fine for it but, I would strongly recommend that you get at least a minimum of a 3 mil thick bag. This bag is 1.5 mil and it's entirely too thin for what I needed. Of course you can't really return the bag now because it's on the bed and it's torn in many places so, do yourself a favor, if you're going to be putting this on a mattress and moving the mattress, get a thicker better quality bag.
