For a family of various ages, these are a GAME-CHANGER 😉 We have many ages in our family, and we play A LOT of games. It's always been a struggle for little hands to handle a bunch of cards at once, to keep their areas tidy when playing with multiple pieces, and frankly, this is even a bit hairy sometimes for the big people on our regular-sized dining table. Enter these Card and Game item holders! Boy oh Boy are they great! I don't think I could find a "con" about them if I tried. We will have these for years to come, I'm sure, and they'll likely look pristine the whole time. Theyre well built and feel super solid and very durable. They stack pretty well together and don't take up much space. These are true hardwood, not composite or something else and have well-attached rubber feet so they dont squeak, slide, or scratch the table. As far as playability, our littles have easily learned how to use these in many situations, so I'd say their ease of use is outstanding. The youngest age we have used these with is 6 years old. I had those old curved wooden card holders, which are handy, but you still end up with a pile of cards or game pieces in front of you. So I got these to replace those curved card holders. Since we play a lot of card games to learn and reinforce our homeschool math lessons, they get a lot of use. There are two slots for holding cards - one shallower and one deeper - as well as three equally sized compartments in front. The card slots should easily hold multiple types of cards. If using playing cards, it will hold one lower than the other so you can see the value of all the cards total. What I love about these is how it keeps everything contained. So if our family of four decides to play a game in the middle of dinner, it keeps things from getting mixed up or lost on the table. These are also great for those who like to use a combination of tarot or oracle cards with various other divinatory tools. It's a nice way to keep them on one's desk throughout the day as a reminder of any insight one may have gained from working with those tools. We absolutely love these card holders!! My husband and I both come from big board-game families and we have a fun collection ourselves. These have become a staple for our game nights! The slots hold playing cards very snug and secure, while being easy to remove cards and and to. The accessory trays are super handy for so many different games! We’ve already used them with Ticket to Ride, and there are seriously so many other games where they’ll be useful for. Even if you don’t specifically need the trays, the card holders alone are helpful! (Especially for the extra young or older players) Other than being functional and useful, they’re actually really good looking.
