Comfortable, good if you’re short

I can’t speak for durability because I’ve only had this a few days and only washed once before wearing but it feels like something equal or better in quality to what you would get at a big box store. I’m 5’2” and 154 at 2 months post partum and the 6/8 fit well. I did have to fold the waist band all the way in half for the length to fit me but that’s expected. My only disappointment was in the color, I ordered an olive and the color is more an evergreen but it’s such a comfortable skirt that I decided to keep it. I already had he black and wanted to order more colors but now am hesitant because Of my experience with the “olive” color. I’ll maybe try one more! Read more

Light, slimming fit

This skirt is a nice light soft material like other products from Popana. I'm 5'8", 195 lbs and ordered the 2X based on other reviews. However, the waist is slightly too large and I should have bought an XL which is my usual size. The skirt drapes from the waist nicely without adding bulk at the waist or hips like other styles do. The flounce at the hem gives it some movement when I walk or dance. It hits high at the ankle which is more flattering than hitting mid-shin. On someone shorter, it might be maxi. I plan to wear this all year 'round. As an added bonus, living in the U.S., I prefer buying products made in the U.S. like Popana. Read more

Bought 5 that all have different lengths... but comfy

I bought this skirt in several colors as I plan to wear these skirts throughout the winter. I bought a Medium (what I wear in most retailers) and found it to be a little bit on the loose side. Wearing it right out the package, it's fine, but I worry it might stretch from use and then be too big. Also, the length is not as listed, or at least, not for some of my skirts. It seems that the length ranges from about 36" to 40"; some skirts are so short I can't fold over the top without it becoming a midi skirt, and some being so long that I have to fold it over or else I will be tripping on it. I am 5'1" for reference. Other than that, the skirts are very comfortable. Not sheer at all. Tucking in shirts can be a bit of a pain because it lends to a bumpy appearance under the skirt. Despite these worries, I still like the skirt and would recommend them for shorter folk. Read more

My new favorite skirt!

I'm 5'0" and was hesitate about this skirt because I thought that it might be too long even with the fold-down waist, but I'm writing to tell you that is not the case! This skirt is my new favorite and most comfortable article of clothing...in fact, I even bought 3 of them! I did notice that with the light blue color I don't need to fold down the waist at all but with the charcoal grey and olive green skirts I do need to foldover the waist just a little bit to make it the perfect length. This does not look bulky or anything and I don't find the amount of material to be overwhelming for my frame. For reference, I usually wear a size 18P in pants and I got this skirt in an XL and it fits perfectly. If you are short but want to wear a maxi skirt then try this one out! Read more

perfect fit, but beware...

I love this skirt! I am 5'1 and it is the perfect length. It looks great! I gave it 3 stars because after a few hours of wear, the seam is already coming apart. It's going up have to be sewed up or a hole will form. So disappointed! I ordered 2 and am hopeful that the second won't tear, but I'm not confident. If the seam didn't come apart, I'd order more colors. Will update once I've worn the 2nd one a few times. Read more

Great for SHORT ladies

This skirt is so cute! I just had a baby and I have been looking for comfortable, cute clothing to wear while trying to get back to my pre preggo weight. For me, here are the pros of this skirt: - I am 5'2 and the skirt length is perfect on me without shoes. If I wanted to wear shoes all I would need to do is pull it down a little bit. I don't think I will be able to fold it though without it looking too short. - I am currently wearing a size 10 in most clothing and the medium fits me nicely. It gives me stretch where I need it! I believe it will continue to fit me as I lose weight too. - it is very soft!!! I bought 2 of these, and bottom line is I'm happy I did! Read more

Love it!

I love this skirt! I bought it to wear when I was pregnant because I was so sick of maternity pants and this I could either fold up under my belly or unfold it up and over the top without it being uncomfortable. The fabric was thicker than I expected, which I was happy with. It fits me perfectly in length, which is very rare as I am only 5'2" and anything maxi tends to be way too long on me. I wear a size 4 or 6 in jeans and the small fit my waist very comfortably, both while I was pregnant and now that I am back down to my normal size. I'm planning to buy more of these in different colors. Read more

Already Returned It

I ordered this skirt and one other from another company and found that the sizing was strange for both. I'm about 5'2" and 130 pounds, typically wear a size 6 to 8, depending on the brand. I love maxi skirts, but because I'm short, I often find that they are wayyyyyy too long. For example, the ones from Target I can wear as a dress, and a long one at that. This skirt is short. I actually couldn't get it to be maxi-length any way that I tried to wear it, even if I didn't fold it over and wore it at the hips. It was just too short, and I'm short, so that doesn't bode well for anyone taller than about 4'11". It also fit small in the hips and rear. This clung in all the wrong places, so it made my hips look bigger than they are. The quality of the material was nice. If you do order it, order up more than one size. Read more
