I got the fan and it worked okay for the first week or so. It never blew super cold air even with ice in it. One day the fan started slowing down and making a high pitch screeching noise. A few minutes later it turned off completely. I tried turning it back on and the fan was hardly moving. The motor must have seized or something. This is a great little fan with lots of options. I particularly bought this fan for the ability to add ice for colder air and it works quite nicely. As an added bonus, it also came with an ice tray made for the unit. It has four fan speeds, movable louvers, oscillating feature, humidifier option, timer function and color changing feature which can stay on when the fan is off also as just a night light. I really love this as we keep it in our bathroom so we can see at night if we get up. I'm very pleased with my purchase and will probably be getting another one. Read more
Really disappointed with this fan. It feels really rickety and it doesn’t do a very good job of cooling the air. It barely feels like much is blowing out. Worse, the water was sputtering out and got my desk wet. Seems like a great deal but this noisy and weak fan was a big disappointment. Read more
Definitely not a mini Air Conditioner. Glorified mini fan. Fan works well but using the ice to cool the air just isn't sustainable or useful. It is quiet and good for beside the bed but Definitely not the price for a tiny fan. Read more
I live in a hot room. I spent $60 on a big strong tower fan and this for $50. It’s the same exact thing except one is a quarter the size and it’s this product. I’ve put ice and water and nothing will send cold air that’s worth the price tag. It’s just an overpriced fan. It’s worthless to me. Why would anybody buy this unless there is air conditioning already in their house? I don’t know. Save the $50. Read more
Works wonderful for desks or a night stand. It is not extremely strong so if you are trying to cool off an entire room, this is not what you are looking for! However, my actual A/C machine is position in an awkward stop in my studio apartment and it's installed inside the wall so I can't move it. For this reason, it only cools off my apartment so much. It's always set at the lowest setting, but my room is always 10 degrees warmer. This has made sleeping at night difficult UNTIL I got this unit. Every night I fill it up and set it right next to my bed on a foldable dinner tray. IT HAS MADE SUCH A DIFFERENCE! I'm finally sleeping well and sometimes even wake up cold if it's not 80 degrees or higher outside. My mom is coming to visit so we bought another one for her. The only reason I gave it 4 stars though is because the ice melts fast. I wish the chamber was insulated to prevent the ice from melting so quickly. However, if you fill it up right before bed, then you'll be asleep before all the ice melts as it does take a few hours. Overall I am very happy with this little machine. It is not silent, but it's no louder than my fan or A/C so it doesn't bother me. Also, I don't use the lights, but they are cool to look at when I accidentally turn them on. It's also not huge so it can easily fit on a dinner tray or desk. Overall if you need something to cool you off and are willing to have something sit close to you, then this works well! Read more
