I’m a big believer that everyone that owns an automobile should own a set of jumper cables. I’m not a fan of the jumper cables that need to be connected to someone else’s battery to work because 1. There isn’t always another car available to attach the cables to and 2. They can interfere with the electrical system of the other person’s car. It so happens that I have a lawnmower that seems to drain batteries; so despite having a brand new battery, every time I want to run the lawnmower, it needs a jump start. I had been borrowing my father’s device; but, his, while nice to look at, wasn’t as effective as I would have liked for it to be. Sometimes it worked well, sometimes it didn’t. Ergo, I purchased the Jump Starter device. Upon arrival, the device already had almost a 50% charge on it; so, I decided to test it out without fully charging it first . I kid you not, on the second attempt to crank up the lawnmower, it turned over! The adapter (where you attach the leads to the device) gives you a digital readout of the voltage, which is helpful for troubleshooting. As for other features, I love that I can charge other devices as well, using one of the two USB outlets. If you’re stranded on the side of the road, for example, this function could come in handy if you need to charge your phone, to make calls or your tablet, to read or watch TV while you kill time. Additionally, the Jump Starter has a built-in flashlight that has a couple of different settings, including a “SOS” setting, so that you can try to flag down help in the event of an emergency. I also want to mention that this device came in it’s own carrying case, which also housed the charging cable (to attach to an AC power supply), the leads, and a handy instruction manual (which you probably won’t need because the Jump Starter is really easy to use. It gives new meaning to “plug and play.” So, if you want a device that is easy to use, doesn’t have a bunch of unnecessary features that detract from its functionality, performs well even on half a charge, allows you to charge multiple devices (of various sizes) off a single charge, has a built-in flashlight and well, just WORKS, then this is the product for you…and it comes in its own handy carrying case. This product is a must-have..and it makes a great gift as well! Read more
I've been using this portable jump starter for about a month now, and it's proven to be a valuable addition to my car emergency kit. Here's my honest experience after 4-5 uses: What I like: The digital screen is amazing - shows exactly how much battery is left Very light and small - fits in my backpack or car easily It actually works! Jump-started my friend's dead car (just make sure it's 95% charged first) I mostly use it to charge my phone and projector - works great for both Has a flashlight too (haven't used it yet but nice to have) What I don't like: Nothing really - it's good for the price Overall does what it says. Jump-starts cars and charges devices. Small enough to carry anywhere. Worth buying if you want something reliable for emergencies. Read more
Was a bit skeptical when i first ordered it, but i decided to give it a try after seeing a review on youtube. My 2020 Ford Transit was completely dead. I hooked it up to the jump ports in the van and it started right up with no problem. It arrived with 40% charge and it took about 2 hours to fully charge to 100%. Easy to use and very portable due to the size it is. Its case also is nice and sturdy. Great buy i would say! Read more
Bought 2 months ago. Used twice with no issue. Yesterday, while jumping a car, the battery on the jumper quickly discharged, the unit felt hot, and smelled sweet. Inside the boot cover protecting the USB and C inputs a white, sticky film is observed. I attempted to recharge. The unit wouldn't take a full charge and is discharging on its own. DO NOT BUY. Do not buy. Read more
If you dont have a battery jumper, you need to get one. This one is compact and powerful. I love that i can jump my car, help a neighbor, or get a stranger moving again without the hassle of 10' cords or needing to line up cars just right. The lcd screen gives helpful feedback of the charge that the battery has, and can help diagnose the battery better. I love that this one comes with two USB ports so I can charge two phones or similar devices at the same time. It has a 3v port that charges my phone super fast! As an added bonus it has a bright flashlight that has 3 modes to it. It's compact size allows it to fit in my trunk without being bulky or in the way of other things. Read more
I’ve been using this booster pack as a member of Chaverim OC. I’ve already used it a few times within the first two weeks. On regular cars, it worked fast and good—just like any other solid booster pack. One of my favorite features is the built-in voltmeter. It helps me right away to see if the car really needs a boost or not. The flashlight is strong and bright, which comes in handy at night, and the power bank function is also useful for other situations. It comes in a small case that keeps everything neat and easy to store in the car. It’s a great tool to have with you, especially when helping others. Read more
