I have both this one and the Pix and the difference is negligible but this one is cheaper. I absolutely love how convenient this things are especially when you are using the capsule pods with them. I travel a lot for work and I'm constantly in my car and got tired of paying insane amounts for some espresso, it was actually crazy when I sat down and looked at how much I was spending on coffee. This little guy will pay for itself in no time. I would even say if you are someone who lives alone skip the espresso machine and just get you one of these for all uses. I cannot tell a difference in quality from this to my Nespresso creatista. If I could go back in time and discover these little machines I never would have bought a full size coffee maker. It's also impressive how lightweight they are, I also backpack quite a bit and I am willing to sacrifice some weight to have good espresso instead of the powder coffee I usually take. Large and weighty, these portable espresso machines are a life saver on the road. Even short trips are made more tolerable when getting to make a fresh shot of espresso to keep us going. The only downside to this is that the pieces come apart really easily. Like it takes no force at all to un snap everything. Great when washing or cleaning it but not so great when you want to feel that the machine will last and has the capability of not falling off when traveling. Other than that, one charge can make 5 shots of espresso. However, before you get this machine, please understand that you need the Nepresso espresso shots to make. Or maybe a small reusable like espresso shot filter. Either way, we buy the store brand nespresso shots from WalMart and call it a day. Read more

I wasn’t sure how well a portable espresso maker would work. However, I really wanted espresso when I traveled. The COTGCO works better than ever hoped for. The unit is very compact but is heavy so it doesn’t feel cheap. The instructions are decent which is fine since the operation is so simple. It uses the original size Nespresso capsules. I love this so there is virtually no mess to clean up. The top part holds the filtered water and the bottom cup can be placed such that your espresso extracts into the cup and you can drink from that. The pod screws into the bottom compartment for a tight fit. Cleaning is pretty simple but you need to ensure the unit is dry before you put back together. For the coffee, it came out hot and had crema! That is probably what surprised me the most. The price is a bit high but if you need espresso like I do, it is worth it. Read more

This was very easy to use. You just fill the water tank on top, pop off the cup from the bottom and unscrew the part on the bottom where you put in the Nespresso cup, and then just press the button you want for either cold brew or hot brewed coffee. Super simple and small enough to take with you on road trips. I would not say this is lightweight enough for backpacking, unless you are hardcore in your espresso habit, but it's a very nice, sleek machine and would make a great gift! Read more
