I’m very impressed with the performance of the Casabrews CM5418. I’ve been using it almost everyday for nearly 2 months and I’m ready to share my thoughts: - I love espresso. The Casabrews CM5418 makes it very affordable to have delicious espresso drinks daily. It’s a great value for the sale price of under $120 that I paid on Amazon. - The machine is very stylish looking and its slim design doesn’t take up a lot of counter space. I have the silver one. - It’s a basic machine, lightweight stainless steel, but it’s not flimsy. I do need to hold it steady when inserting the portafilter, but that’s not a big deal. - As a beginner, I was intimidated about learning to operate the machine properly, but the clear instructions with photos make it truly easy and straightforward to get great results. - The Casabrews CM5418 makes hot delicious crema topped espresso! Each and every time! Not bad for my novice tastebuds. - The steam wand is also easy to froth hot milk for lattes. - There’s no built in grinder - but I already have a separate grinder and Amazon sells my favorite Italian espresso grind coffee. - I’m also experimenting with using the machine’s hot water and steam wand to make Matcha lattes and chocolate drinks. I’ve been eyeing this machine for a while and I should have gotten it sooner. Top quality espresso with 1/4 of the price from leading brands. It has really good pressure, the espresso brew is very good, the milk steamer works great and the overall use is very simple. They recommend running an empty circle before brewing but I find it not necessary. It’s a sturdy machine and durable. Great quality for the price. I would 100% recommend if you love fixing nice coffee but don’t have the money or just don’t want to pay a large amount for a coffee machine. Water tank is a little small but I would say it can brew like 8-10 times before it runs out of water. Read more

We've owned a couple Espresso machines over the years. But after the last one took a dive, we never looked back. That was 10-12 years ago. This year I decided to poke around and after reading the reviews and watching all the videos, I decided to scoop one of these up for my wife for X-Mas. Well about a week ago she comes up stairs to tell me the coffee maker just took a dive. I thought about it, I had this sitting here so I wrapped it up, took it downstairs and put it under the tree, went and got her and said Santa stopped by with an early present. She opened it and couldn't believe it. The next morning I got up, went down, got the machine out and we haven't stopped raving about this since. She's worked in a few places with 10K machines and what an espresso should be and this little machine delivers on every level. We LOVE the footprint on the counter, it's about 2 of our little one cup coffee maker so it's small design suits our limited counter space. Simple to use, well built, easy to clean. I made a coffee the other day for when I hit the road for work, it's just not the same, lol. We've both been very impressed with this little gem. And we make 3-4 a day each so it's got plenty of use here in the last week alone. Would highly recommend. Read more

I bought this machine around 3 months ago. I wanted to get into making espresso but didn't want to invest in a machine that cost me over $1,000. This machine came at a reasonable price and many coffee experts seemed to love it, so I made the purchase. The machine has a good build and it doesn't take up too much space on the kitchen counter. It's fairly straight-forward to use and makes really good espresso. The steam wand is a bit loud and takes a while to heat up, but for the price, it does its job remarkably well. I noticed the machine doesn't let you pull another shot right after you've steamed milk, so be aware of that when making more than one cup. The maker also has helpful videos on YouTube if you need to troubleshoot any problems. Overall, it's a fantastic machine for beginners as it's easy to use and makes great espresso. Read more

I'm updating my review due to the excellent customer service from this company. For whatever reason, this machine needed a long time heating between brewing cups, which did not work in my household where multiple people make coffee in the morning. They saw my complaint and offered to replace my machine with the Pro version, which has a better heating system, at no cost. It arrived less than 24 hours after responding to my complaint. I've tested it just once, but the performance is great. Nice to deal with a company that actually cares about having satisfied customers! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- While this makes a solid espresso, it overheats very quickly. You cannot make two drinks in a row without having to wait 10 minutes. I think most positive reviews are from single people- if you want to make espresso for a crowd, or even a couple of people, you will be very frustrated. Read more
