Had a very old 18.5" bamboo scratcher break. Everything now seemed to be barely16". This one is a real 21.5 extended. I'm 6'1" and the extra 4-5 inches matters. The build on this is surprisingly sturdy. The twin rods are HD and fixed solidly at handle and scratcher head. The head can actually twist slightly to stay flat on your back. It retracts smoothly, but I'll never use that feature. The sctatcher hand is well formed - good width, good angle and fingers not too sharp or too dull. The handle is longer to fit my hand and textured. Ambivalent on the magnet end of the handle. Suppose it will be useful for retrieving a dropped paper clip, but far more often it just grabs everything ferrous on my desk. Read more

Very good value, much stronger then single extending pole designs, the length is good, but you will have to figure out just how flexible you are to reach that "one spot", you know what I mean... the scratcher is nicely curved, however it is not very smooth and can cause bleeding is your not careful in applying pressure, especially if you have that extremely bad itch that we all get...It does work extremely well, but, only you know your body & the tenderness of your skin, just be careful when using...I have no use for the massage ball on the handle bottom, but it helps balance the weight of the handle giving it a heavier feel and more control in your hand... you might...I don't know.... This back scratcher has been so handy. I’ve owned it for about six months, and it has held up really well. The build feels durable and sturdy, and even when fully extended, it never retracts or collapses while using it. The double-pole telescoping design is excellent – it keeps the scratcher from swiveling or twisting, which gives you a lot more control. The length extends far enough that it easily reaches those impossible-to-scratch spots on your back. A nice bonus is the magnetic roller ball at the base of the handle. It works well for acupressure points, small massage areas, or even just for fidgeting. Overall, this is a well-designed, practical little tool that works exactly the way you want it to. Read more

I wanted to have something while watching the Back Scratchers episode of Family Guy. Mission accomplished. I like the dual telescoping poles that extend to the perfect length to reach virtually every spot I need scratching. Really good buy. Read more
