Nightlight with Three (3) Light Temperatures
I needed a new small desktop night light/lamp for my children’s room. The original clip on light, that we had, broke and the LED light dimmed out. So I got the portable night light, USB, rechargeable, small desk lamp that has three (3) brightnesses and that came with one (1) remote. The lamp is better than I had thought it would be and it offers enough brightness for the kids to fall asleep at night but not so bright that it lights up the whole bedroom (if we don’t want it to). The night light came with a remote (with battery inside and ready to go). The remote and night light are easy to operate. Also, the remote allows me to turn the light off without going all the way into the bedroom and awakening the kids. The remote allows you to dim or brighten the light (just hold the plus or minus button down). There are timer buttons for 15, 30, and 60 minutes of the light being on and then lights out. There is a little black slide (power)off and on switch and a touch dimmer/on/off button at the top of the light. The top of the light dimmer/on/off button can be controlled by just a slight swipe of the fingertip. There are at least three (3) ways to turn the light on or off (the remote, the black power switch, or the top of the light on/off/dimmer). I’m impressed with this little bedside light. The light itself is white and made of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) which is a sturdy, tough, and durable material. The lamp can fall and not shatter because it is made of ABS. The ABS is a good material to use for low powered electrical items. I don’t know if the power of the LED light in the lamp to determine if it is low power or not. Because the lamp is made of ABS (the outer shade or dome) it is best to only use the lamp indoors and to not place it where it will get constant sunlight exposure because overtime the ABS plastic may yellow and crack. So I have the lamp on the bedside table furtherest from the bedroom window. It’s remote and the light measurements are as described. The light is USB charged. Again, another feature that I like the lamp. Charging takes about 2.5 hours using the USB cable. There is one (1) 1200 milliampere hours (mAh) battery that came in the remote. So 1200 amperes for one (1) hour or 600 amperes for two (2) hours if my conversions are right. I did have an issue getting the little battery compartment on the remote to open (the instructions are stamped on the back of the remote-and I still had a hard time opening it). I was able to open the battery compartment after trying a few times. At full brightness the light works for 12 hours and at lower levels of brightness you can get up to 1000 hours of light (from the fully charged light). The light has three (3) light color temperatures (warm (yellow), blue (cool), and white (neutral)) from 3000 to 6000 Kelvins (K). Overall, I like the night light (little lamp) it seems like it is made of sturdy and durable and quality materials. The lamp is versatile in the ways it could be turned on/off/dimmed and the color temperatures (white yellow, white blue, and white light) for moods. The light is small and lightweight and can be easily moved corded or fully USB charged from one room or location of your choosing (indoors). For the features that this lamp/nightlight has, its value is more than reasonable to me. Read more
