long and satisfying book is a great serries.

I really liked the first book in this series. I was a little less impressed with the second book, but I think things are back on track in this one. First of all, I really like the cover art for the series. I like how the geography is similar to earth so it is easy to visualize things. It was a long book, so you get your monies worth, and it didn’t end with a big annoying cliff hanger. This is sort of a spoiler, but the MC creates multiple copies of himself with a linked mind. This is a great tool for telling the story as he then has multiple perspectives from different locations. He is also able to make changes to the copies so they each have different strengths and weaknesses. The story has lots of action and an interesting plot. It has some character development and relationships, but the main character is still isolated from other people in some ways. I recommend the series. Read more

Great Story Telling

BTSApril 14, 2024

The series and story telling improves with each book. This was the best so far. The story does not suffer from the typical issues with LitRPG books. The story has the protagonist growing in power but at the same time does not have full comprehension of what he gains as he grows. It does not drown the reader in stats but instead provides just enough for the reader to understand the protagonists struggle in trying to understand vague information provided and why mistakes are made. Each book has the protagonist learning and growing, recovering from mistakes he makes from assumptions, and facing against ever growing challenges as he learns more about the world abroad. Most importantly you have a hero who feels three dimensional vs a character represented by a sheet of stats. After finishing the third book - The Rhine - I am eager for the next. If you are a reader who cares about the story, the characters, and the hero's journey and less about pages of repetitive stats and descriptions of powers, this is a great book to read. Read more

Best book of the Best series

francyFebruary 12, 2023

How? This series started with a great idea that was elaborated and built the foundation for a fantastic series. I say lays the foundation because each book written somehow gets better and better as the main story line progresses. The amount of thought and planning that must of gone into this series is beyond me. All I can say is Im in love. Thank you for another great book, I am audio book listener and your books are the only ones that I take time to read because I simply cannot wait for the next one to come out. Please writing you are enriching the lives of everyone who reads your books. BTW Jakes Magical Market is still #1 sorry but not sorry I cannot wait to see where that series goes. (It’s a must read) Anywho Thank you cannot wait for part 4. Seriously your editor doesn’t need to sleep right? Read more

Interesting book

I am not sure of the genre of book this fits into, I think rpg? Still the characters were interesting, the story fun, the MC was challenged, but the side characters remain a bit flat. Overall a fun read. Read more

phenomenal work

Honestly one of the best series in the genre. There is depth and volume in the books. Also the books are long enough that I don’t blast right through them in just an afternoon. It seems the author has a real direction where he wants to take the series and he provides plenty of milestones along the way. Also he regularly involves the overarching narrative without getting lost in the side stories. Only unfortunate thing about the story is there are so many acting groups of people that I find myself hoping to hear about previous groups - such as the dark elves in Nova Roma. Though this is not a bad thing - and it allows for further side stories in the future. Looking forward to the next books and really hoping they release this year! Read more

excellent story

The latest is his series about Alexander. This was a well written good expansion of the world he has created. I enjoyed the different quests and storylines. His characters are well thought out and the dialogue is good. Enjoyable read and would recommend to anyone who likes the litrpg genre Read more

This author is awesome!

Wesley T. MayesFebruary 11, 2023

I have completely enjoyed each and every book that I have read by this author. He is great! There is so much historical, magical, and character background detail that I feel very invested in the book. Also, he does such a great job with action that there are multiple times throughout the book/series that feel as if it’s the climax of the book, only to have the very pleasant surprise that there is a lot of book left. I can’t wait for the next book! Read more

Series is amazing!

C HarlowJanuary 23, 2023

I normally only listen to audible books, but this series is one of my favorites where I can't wait for the audible version. The series is in the top five of the thousands of books I have read or listened to. This series contains crafting, amazing fights, awesome abilities for litrpg. This series is more of a level grinding with multiple classes. I can't say enough how much one should read this series if you like litrpg with some historical fiction. Read more
