Perfect for giving me a bright but indirect light, tall enough to illuminate the bookcases around the perimeter of the room and brighten the table area, but not harsh or calling too much attention to themselves. I really like the modern design, perfect for use with my black lacquer and maple dining set. The only improvement would be if they were dimmable, but at this price point, I should not complain.
