This card replaced a Power Color Liquid Devil 6950xt after I broke the acrylic water block while doing some maintenance on it. I needed a card that was similar in performance and now air cooled (as I was done with water). The 7800XT is smaller in size and lighter, fits in my Corsair 5000D with plenty of room left over. It is paired with a AMD 5800X CPU on a MSI B550 Unify-X motherboard. Installed it, install the latest drivers, ran 3DMark Steel Nomad Benchmark, and then the 20min Steel Nomad Stress Test, went all smooth without issue, no artifacts. The card was quite and cool. During the stress test, Max GPU Temps were at 65C, and Max GPU Hotspot was at 87C. Completed with 99.7% Stability score. Also this card was only $100 over the MSRP, unlike some other 7800XT cards. You shouldn't need a GPU holder, as this card is light, but I have small one holding it up. Read more
After a lot of time looking around for information on this design I found almost nothing. But it didn’t stray me away from this variant since it came from power color and still looked like it was nice. This turned out to be everything and more I was looking for in a gpu! Had no issues with the install beside windows being a bit for ddu but after so troubleshooting shooting was able to get in and wipe my old nvidia drivers after that downloaded the amd ones and was off running! This card performs great haven’t had it reach over 65c while under a full load, and atleast doubled my performance of my old card. If you are looking into this model I recommend it, but if anything happens to it I’ll update with what went wrong but so far it has exceeded all my expectations. Read more
This card is a beast. It’s a little cheaper than the other cards but performs just as good. The card was very easy to install but I had a little trouble because my case was made weird but I got it to work. The fans are extremely quiet and you can barely hear them if you aren’t close. For $599 ($635 with taxes), it is an excellent GPU. AMD software works flawlessly. Capable of running Dragon's Dogma 2 at 150 FPS, Stellar Blade demo avg fps at 130. only complaint is regarding the packaging. When I opened the box, I noticed the static bag was sealed with scotch tape, and there were no plastic protective covers typically found on a card, nor any cellophane to peel off. It felt like a returned item, lacking the "new item" smell. Initially I felt a bit scammed, but everything works great and hopefully it lasts a long time. After purchasing two of the same graphics cards at the same time, they both had ended up with the same problem. First off, I have a few years of experience with assembling computers and dealing with issues. After getting the two PCs that these were supposed to be for built and ready, I had safely placed them both in their respected systems. I went to turn on both systems and it seemed to work. at first. However after booting into Windows and installing all the drivers, the cards literally started to show their true colors. I started to receive green boot screens and bios menus on both systems. I then used DDU to uninstall the drivers and reinstall them manually. This seemed to work, so I started to do my normal stress test on both graphics cards to see how they perform. The second i put either of the cards under any load exceeding 80% usage, the artifacts began to appear. Ugly, green, nasty artifacts. I would not recommend this specific card to anyone. I cannot say much about the manufacturer because it could have just been a bad batch that I had unfortunately received. Still, not a good look. Read more
