I wound up getting this Wenter 5 Port USB Hub b/c I found out my laptop didn't have enough power to run my portable external DVD drive. Now this little gadget solved that problem and does so much more! It has multiple ports so I can charge several devices at once - and charging is fast! It's super easy to use. Just plug it in! I can plug my phone into it to transfer pics to my laptop. And for using with my laptop and portable DVD player, there is a cord that plugs in from the USB Hub to my laptop to give it enough power. This USB hub works well with my laser jet printer and other less power hungry USB equipment. The unit has its own power supply and it apparently makes a difference. My old hub worked with the printer but then nothing else could be connected. Read more
Has been working great for my use purpose. I pass this though a wall from my computer into the living area TV. This holds some bluetooth/wireless dongles for keyboards/controllers. I like being able to turn things off and on for resetting purposes as well as power saving. Read more

I am a gamer content creator live streamer and I needed to be able to plug in more than one hard drive into my laptop at the same time so i can have access to my games I have downloaded and my content I use while live streaming. So I started looking for a usb hub that has a power source connected to it that was within my budget and found this gem with a good rating so I decided to check out the reviews and they where good, So i bought it. I have been using it for a few months now and it works great, I'm able to have all of my hard drives for gaming, live streaming and content creating going at the same time so I can just store data and games where i need them and have access to them without having to unplug different data devices into my computer to search for stuff or save stuff using this USB hub.
