I got these because my right foot has suffered from Plantar Fasciitus for the last few months, a condition I have never had before but that I made worse I think by going on hikes when overweight and pushing through the pain. By the time I realized it was a chronic pain it had already gotten fairly bad. I tried doing stretches and foot exercises to help and avoided putting weight on it for weeks, but nothing seemed to really help. I even went and got physical therapy (which proceeded to send me a $300 bill) which basically just gave me stretches to do which barely helped. So, desperate, I did two things. 1. I found shoes that were comfortable for me - 14 double wides with good arch support. 2. I got these inserts, which fit perfectly (size 14-15 ones) in place of the existing inserts in my shoes. I have only been using these for roughly a week and already the pain in my right foot has decreased significantly over time. The first 2-3 days I was wearing them it hurt more than it ever had, but after taking the time to walk with proper form I am already seeing the results. I can't speak for the long-term capabilities of this but the short-term effects have reduced my pain more in a week than in 1-2 months of me trying to cure it by things like reducing weight on my foot. I highly recommend these to anyone who had a similar problem as me - someone who has probably had misaligned feet for years due to being overweight for so long and finally developed plantar fasciitus due to sudden exercise. Just ensure you get the right style. These ones fit very well and have a strong enough arch to support my feet decently well even though I weigh more than 300 pounds. They have good support in the heel and a slight inner foot arch support that helps to angle your foot outwards more. Combined with shoes that properly allow your feet to move as they need to I think this is something I am likely to use for years to come. Read more

I bought a second pair so I didn’t have to change them out. They are very good for my flat feel and have helped with jogging and incline walking in addition to just everyday walks. Read more

I have worn custom orthotics for a long time for my flat feet and overpronation. I decided to give over the counter ones a try due to the improvement in my feet and legs and my podiatrist agreed. These were not the ones he recommended but they were on my radar to try. The ones he suggested were another major brand that were perfect in every way but they were just too wide and stretched out my running shoes. Otherwise they felt better than any custom ones I have ever had. Due to the width issue I decided to give this brand a try. These Powerstep Pinnacle Maxx were just a slight bit wide but overall fit great in the shoe. But sadly I got no comfort from them. I did not feel maximum support, in no way felt the needed firmer arch support they advertise and the angled exterior heel did nothing for me under my arch and all the other built in features actually made my issues worse. The orthotics felt very soft with the padding under my feet which I don't mind but my overpronation was much worse in these. Honestly I just felt no max support which is what I need. I am seeing my podiatrist again in a few weeks. I need to see how he feels about the other ones that were too wide. Other than that that brand provided maximum support under my arch, held my feet in place and really provided the care I needed. I was hoping for at least some of that with the Pinnacle Maxx but did not get it. If he feels due to the width the others are not good I will need to go custom again. These Powerstep Pinnacle Maxx are highly rated and reviewed and with them making matters worse I may need to stop trying to make orthotics made for everyone fit to my individual feet. I am giving these 3 stars for they did not work for me but they certainly deserve an average score for they may indeed work for you. Everyone's feet and issues are different and there is no quick fix. All over the counter orthotics should be dealt with seriously and eased into in case they are bad for your feet and to avoid any trauma. Sadly I got shin splints from the Pinnacle Maxx. And I tried them just a few hours a day. So I recommend them with the caution that should be applied to all over the counter orthotics and be aware they may not work out for you. Read more
