I have been wearing custom orthotics for a long time. I stand/walk on a concrete slab all day and have both plantar fasciitis and tendonitis in my Achilles because of it. The orthotics are about $300 and do a good enough job but they aren't very comfortable. I bought these because the reviews were good and I thought they'd work for me. It says to heat and fit one at a time, which I did but they were uncomfortable. I tried heating both so I stood more equally on my feet. That worked better. The inserts gave good support to my arches and I was satisfied with them for several months. At that point they seemed hard and my plantar fasciitis and tendonitis both came back. I tried reheating and fitting again but they still bothered me. I feel that I got my money's worth out of them but with the amount of time I spend running around on that floor I need to be more comfortable. Read more
My son has weak arches and these work great for him. They are easy to trim to size with a scissor and the heating and personalized fitment process is simple and straightforward. He has gone through several of these over the years and never complains of discomfort during the “break in” period. They are durable and do the job. An added bonus, they can be washed and don’t lose their fit. Read more
If you have fallen arches and need support, these are not for you. I asked the archmolds website, and hoped, based on their reply, that these would mold enough to give me the support I needed, but not even close. I have fallen arches, which is very different from flat feet or low arches (which are naturally occurring). Because of this, I need a medium to high arch support to keep my arch up. These would be good for someone with a low arch, but they are nowhere close to the support I need. After 2 days, I felt like I had stress fractures in my feet. I'd have been better off with the Memory foam inserts. Decent build quality, easy to heat and size. They just do not work for someone with fallen arches. I can't dog them, as I knew they might not work, so a 3 is fair, I'm giving them a 3, even though I can't wear them, because Amazon returns is great and Powerstep, who owns archmolds now, has really good customer service and offered to work with me to find another set that may work better. I paid $59.95 for my powerstep insoles. They were not in a box. These insoles are to be heated to mold to your feet. There was no instructions included. Not impressed with how they were sent. Read more
