The blender works good. It's kind of loud and sounds like a plane is going to take off. It works great for my morning smoothies. My only complaint is leaks. I put water in it in the morning before work and when I come home the water is all gone. Maybe I don't have the blades on correctly. I will have to work with it. Read more

4 1/2 stars, rounded to 5 I’ve had this blender for quite some time, but only recently got around to giving it a place on my counter and using it frequently. This the first powerful blender I’ve ever had in my 40+ years of adulthood. I was thrilled to finally have a blender that wasn’t intimidated by more than 5 ice cubes! This one seems to have a power level similar to a Ninja, but lesser than a Vitamix. The big pro for this one is that it’s cheaper than either of those and lighter in weight. The blender pitcher is plastic, not glass, so it’s much easier for me to move, carry, wash, etc., however it makes me wonder if it will hold up to the normal knocks and bumps that routinely occur in everyday kitchen life. I love the personal blender jar - perfect for making a smoothie or two. The control panel is quite sleek and attractive. The noise level is much lower than I would have expected - that’s a huge plus. My only major complaint is that I find it quite difficult to remove the blade assembly from the pitcher and the personal jar. There just isn’t a good place to get a grip on it. I’ve scraped a couple of knuckles doing battle with it. I’m not sure how many years my hands have left with enough strength to get the part off if it accidentally gets over tightened. For now though, I’m just going to be excited to mix up things my old blenders couldn’t even touch. The value is good …. Skip the starter entry level blenders (they’re just $30-$40 wasted). I like that this product from PowerXL is a smart blender that has some great features. It senses what is contained and adjusts based on that. Initially, I was skeptical that there are only three function keys and the two manual modes. However, those are three pre-programmed smart functions. One of the manual functions allows me to ramp up or slow down the motor. So, now that I have used it for weeks I see it can handle a lot of traditional tasks. I was frustrated that it didn’t power through and blend my smoothie. Instead it gave me an error message (AL) and stopped blending. Actually, I should explain that it advised me to add liquid. So, I added a bit more each time until I read the manual again. Now, I pulse briefly until the texture is smoother/thinner and the smoothie function can continue. I recognize that the blender is designed to do that to protect the motor and that increases its longevity. On that note, we are advised not to run the blender for more than 2 minutes in any mode and when using the pulse mode not to exceed 5 seconds at a time and of course, 2 minutes total. There are things that concern me. It is a powerful blender and a good one for this price point. There are some that are much more expensive. I am thankful that the blade assembly is removable so that it can be more thoroughly cleaned as well as the interchangeable feature. I like the personal blender jar/tumbler but the lid does not have a great fit. It leaks. It is a good size for a portable to-go cup. I struggled to remove the blade assembly from the blender but it was a struggle to remove it from the personal blender jar so I could attach the lid and go. So, I have a fear of using the personal jar because I worry about what I’ll do if my smoothie gets trapped in it. The blender is unusable if the blender cup is stuck. NOTE: There is no other way into the blender jar if the only means to open the jar is stuck. The lid was badly scratched by a cotton dish towel twice! I hand washed the lid in warm water with a soft sponge. I used my trusty cotton dish towel to dry it and was shocked to see that it was damaging the lid. I initially thought it was a smear so I wiped it again and it did more damage to the plastic. I have been using these towels for over a year and they have never damaged anything. It makes me wonder what is this lid made of that it can be so easily scratched by a cotton towel. (Shown with the towel) It is relatively quiet compared to other powerful blenders I have had. I like that so much of it can go into the dishwasher safely. I appreciate that there are 2 recipes in the instruction manual and 24 recipes in the SensiMax recipe book and both are repeated in French and Spanish. The quick start guide is informative as well. I am thankful for all of the information in the enclosed manual and its accompanying materials. I and others are often complaining that we aren’t getting enough information and instruction. Not the case here. They even provided addresses and phone numbers! Love that. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I am super pleased with how well this blender works. I make smoothies with frozen fruits, and have no problem blending. There are different power settings to adjust the speed of the blade. The base has suction cups to secure to your counter. Everything is super easy to use and clean. I didn’t think it was too loud when blending. This is as close to an industrial blender as I need! Great price for a quality blender! Love it!! Read more
