This is a beautiful piece for my kitchen sponges, they fit Perfect!!! The quality of this little dish, is great, I did get a great piece and the price was even better. This is a really nice soap dish and it's better looking than the picture shows! It's called white washed terra-cotta but to me it looks like a 'milky' white with a grayish border and center with the bird. This dish is big enough to accommodate even a large bar of soap without any problems. I think it's pretty to use in a bathroom or possibly a kitchen depending on the decor. It's a heavy ceramic that could easily break or chip if dropped. I made a couple of 'improvements' by adding little felt pads underneath to prevent scratches on the counter and also added a 'soap saver' (by Aira) which keeps the wet soap from getting gooey on the bottom. I think this dish adds a nice touch to any bathroom and would definitely recommend it (unlike their soap bars that have no smell to me and are overpriced too)! Read more
