There is a great initial impression with the nice gift box. Open the box to reveal the pen and a spare ink cartridge; both of which are safely stored and easily removed. This stylish ballpoint pen has an easily replaceable ink cartridge and a secure cap. It is nicely-weighted and writes very well. The pen with cap weighs-in at 33.7g and feels comfortable when writing. The cap protects the writing end by snapping on via friction but a magnetically attached cap would be a tad more luxurious to me. This cap also stores at the back end of the pen when the pen is in use but again it’s a friction hold. A replacement ink cartridge is provided which is really convenient, plus you can figure out what to re-purchase without having to disassemble the pen to remove the one that was pre-installed. The company’s logo (a tilted compass) is embossed on the end cap of the pen and also on the metal band at the middle. The weight and circumference of this pen make it very comfortable to hold and write with. The provided ink cartridge writes very smoothly as well. I actually got this pen for me as I enjoy the tactile feel of hand writing. Generally my favorite pen style is a fountain pen because of the balance and flow. This pen was nice competition. A large part of the feel is the weight and balance of the pen which this pen has a comfortable feel. I think I prefer the weight and rotation of the pen with the cap affixed to the rear, but for short writing it feels fine with the cap in the off hand. The ball roll is flawless and the ink flows without interruption or any feeling of drag. It comes with an installed black ink cartridge and a replacement cartridge which is blue ink. There may be a reason they chose to include different colors. Replacement cartridges are readily available from a variety of vendors which allows the pen a continuing life. Most people would get this type of item as a gift and it does come in a beautiful display case and boxed in a handsome box suitable for gifting as is or for wrapping. This is a very nice pen, especially if you appreciate a smooth-writing experience. I love that it comes with both blue and black ink options I’m personally a blue-ink person, so that was a big plus for me. The pen has a bit of weight to it, which I actually like, and it writes extremely smoothly. I did notice a slight leaking issue with the blue ink, but the black ink performed perfectly. I’m very particular about pens and try a lot of them until I find ones I truly enjoy using. This is one I’ll definitely keep in rotation and would likely purchase again. Read more

Honestly speaking, aside from the ink refill and the fancy case, it just feels like any other ballpoint pen. The aesthetics are nice, I like the design and feel of it. However, I've collected many pens through the years and have found cheaper ones with better writing quality. It's quite expensive for a singular pen, and while I don't have issues paying for quality, I do not think this pen is worth the value. The pen itself works fine, I have no issues writing with it and the ink quality seems good, however it is not the smoothest nor is it the most comfortable pen I've used. All in all, it's just okay. I accidentally found this pen, this is simply awesome. The pen is heavy and made of good material, steel and plastic. Color is smooth and elegant. The writing is fantastic, smooth and doesn't spill.
