Primal Kitchen Vanilla Collagen Fuel Drink Mix Vanilla Coconut Collagen Peptides No Dairy or Artificial Sweeteners 20 Ounces

I wanted a flavored collagen powder because they really do enhance certain snacks/drinks and give it a more dessert like quality with the vanilla flavor. Collagen is not a complete protein as many like to point out, but if you are of European descent with very light skin, chances are you need more collagen and get terrible dry skin in the winter, so this is great to have to improve your skin. Back to the product, the taste- I am surprised that people say it’s clumpy and has an aftertaste. It’s very smooth to me and easy to blend in cottage cheese (shown in photo), yogurt, milk, coffee, or any smoothie. If you want to up the level of blending in milk or coffee, get a cheap frother (ikea had one for 1.99 last year). This size lasts our family of four 1-2 months depending on the use. We also have other flavors and other protein brands we use, otherwise we’d be through it sooner. The last thing I’ll say is this collagen is so good in coffee!! I’ve tried Ancient Nutrition (AN), Vital Proteins (VP), and Primal Kitchen (PK) brands. I gotta say, primal kitchen is far and away the tastiest and most enjoyable of them all. 1. PK doesn’t use nasty Stevia for sweetening! Other brands are far too sweet per serving and use nasty stevia. PK has a mild enjoyable sweetness without being overpowering. I love almond joy and mounds bars. Each scoop of PK has a pleasant chocolate/ coconut flavor.. in fact, without coffee, a scoop or two in hot water with a little milk makes a very satisfying cup of cocoa! (Although, one might add a dash more chocolate for a bolder hot chocolate. ) AND contains 11-22g of protein! That is 2-4 g more than the competition! It adds a lovely creamer to your morning coffee. AND… it doesn’t leave mud on the bottom of your cup like the others! Truly a pleasant experience. Finally, per ounce, it’s significantly less expensive than the other brands! (Although still rather pricey) I’ve tried Ancient Nutrition, Vital Proteins, and Other brands are sweetened with nasty stevia. —One serving scoop is cloyingly too sweet…. (& with nasty stevia…) — The unsweetened/unflavored version smells off and tastes funky and does NOT improve the enjoyment of one’s morning coffee. —- It doesn’t mix well and unless one drinks the cup fairly quickly, it leaves “mud” on the bottom of the cup—either that or one ends up with a disgustingly ‘thick ‘ last couple swallows. Do you love the Starbucks Matcha Latte? Then this is for you! It's so delicious!!! And it's helping my skin. I'm a redhead so I need all the skin help I can get. One of these in the morning gives me a little leeway on breakfast time if I'm in a hurry. Oat milk or extra creamy almond milk is the way to go!!! Mixes great with a shaker bottle but be sure to follow the instructions and add a little liquid to the powder first and shake to break up all the powder, then add remaining liquid and smooth sailing. So much vanilla! I seriously underestimated the vanilla flavor of this. If you want a product that tastes like matcha, look elsewhere. If you want a sweet vanilla drink with a bit of caffeine and a dash of collagen, this is for you. It is thin and has been dissolving well with room temp water in my shaker cup sitting for 5-10m before drinking to let it better dissolve. I love this collagen! Great flavor and consistency. I put it in my coffee in the mornings and I love it!. I crave the subtle vanilla coconut flavor. I put half a scoop in one cup of coffee, add a little oat milk for creaminess and enjoy. I generally will do this 2 times in the morning to equal a full serving of collagen. I’ve been using this matcha collagen latte powder along with matcha, and I really like it. The flavor is smooth, not too sweet, and it mixes easily with hot water or almond milk. Been using this for over a year in my smoothies. Love the flavor! My nails grow so fast and helps my hair. I just added to hot coffee frothed with milk and it’s really good. Dissolves well. I can taste the stevia more in the coffee, not at all in a smoothie with fruit and protein powder. It’s 10 grams of protein so a great additive to smoothies or coffee.
