The backpack is very sturdy and is a good sized bag for an elementary school student. I am not sure that a college student or high school student would have enough space for their books. The one thing that I did not like as much and gave one less star is the logo that is randomly in multiple places on the bag. It disrupts the pattern and takes away from the quality. My husband really likes this cosmic backpack. He says it's roomy with different compartments that allow him to take all his essentials when he is on the go. The light padding in the backpack is good because it adds a layer of insulation to objects inside it. Zippers are good and tight - no fraying or misalignment after continuous use. The straps are padded very well, which adds to comfort for him on his long rides. The quality and durability of this backpack are excellent. We got the larger one. Every morning my husband takes it with him on his rides. He grabs all his stuff and loads it in - laptop, tablet, phone, snacks, water, change of clothes, paperwork pens, keys, tools, trinkets, and just about everything but the kitchen sink. He puts his bags and packs through the ringer, and this one is holding up fine. We saw it advertised as a children's backpack on the website but decided to get it anyways because it looked pretty durable, colorful, and roomy. Which it is. Like the designs and colors. I hesitated for a second to order this bag based on the large logo on the face, wondering if the 9 yr. old grandson who is reaching the age to be picky about things wouldn't like it for whatever reason. I ordered it regardless, knowing he can just use it while staying with us for swimming, etc. I'm SO glad I ordered this; the bag is excellent quality, one I'd find at any nice store, and the attractive space them is what catches the eye, not the logo. The backpack is roomy with plenty of side pockets, including a laptop pocket in which my laptop fits. The shoulder straps are well-padded and will buckle across the chest if one so chooses. The bag came packaged with care. Posting pictures. I know he's going to love this backpack. When he comes to visit, I'll post his response to this backpack.
