Day 1, I was positive. By day 7 of not smoking cigarettes, I tested negative with a faint line. Now at Day 9, I’m still testing negative but my line is JUST a little darker. I wish the line was darker. I was a heavy smoker. About 7-10 per day. ADVICE: To get a negative result vitamin C and green tea supplements will be your BF. I started taking 1000mg vitamin C and green tea supplements on day 6 AND by day 7, I tested negative. I also pressed fresh orange juice and drank that most of the day. Vitamin C speeds up the removal of cotinine on a cellular level by 33% and green tea speeds up your metabolism to help your body get rid of the toxin but do your own research. I had to quit smoking - and prove it - in order to have a more advanced and desirable procedure performed during a necessary surgery. I had a very constricted window of time and only one shot. I quit that same day the dr told me this (it’s now been 1 year and 1 month!) but I was concerned about second hand exposure that I could limit but not eliminate, at least not easily. I didn’t want it skewing my results and costing me the procedure. So I purchased these tests to check if I need to take more drastic measures to avoid it at all costs. The tests were negative. For peace of mind, I actually used one every few days. There’s ten in the box and I knew I wouldn’t need them again after this. I guess I can’t really know if they would show a false negative - I mean, I didn’t test the test by actually smoking then testing. And there’s debate on whether second hand exposure will show up - or how much you need before it does. But I can say that due to a miscommunication, I actually was given a blood test first (and then a subsequent fluid one) and both were negative just like every single home test I did.
