Works well. Everything was included and was packed well. Even though it's not expensive it's well made. Definitely not substandard. I was surprised at how quick it brewed. The permanent filter is much better than others I have used. I haven't tried the programming as I'm mostly interested in the automatic shut off. I think you'd be satisfied with your purchase as well. I've used it a few times. I like the size. It doesn't take up a lot of precious counter space. It is perfect for making coffee for 1-2 people. After following the directions to run water through it a couple of times, it made a decent cup of coffee. I was impressed by how fast it brewed the coffee. I knocked one star off because the lid can be a bit problematic on closing. If you do not get it snapped down, it does not snug the floating basket against the carafe which prevents it from brewing. At first, I thought I had been sold a bill of questionable goods until I figured out that the lid had not snapped down. The lid is a bit flimsy. Not sure how long it will last. It might not survive one of my heavy-handed nephews. However, for the price, it'll do for the time being. I really like that it came with a permanent filter. I had to buy the permanent filter for my last machine. A big plus is I do not have to use a large measuring cup to fill the reservoir like the previous machine it replaced. It does remind me of the very first coffee maker my Mom gave me when I went off to college in the 70s. Read more
For what this is, it’s great! I love the fact that you can program the coffee maker so when you get to your desk in the morning there is a nice hot fresh pot of coffee waiting for you…as long as you remember to put the water and grounds in the day before…Thus far after a week of using this maker it has brought be nothing but early morning coffee happiness! I’d highly recommend for your office or bedroom. Read more

This coffee maker is very attractive, & looks great on my counter. There are two of us, so it is the perfect size for 2 servings. I also love having very hot coffee ready for me in the morning, and I am very pleased to with the taste of the coffee. I didn't want to bother with paper filters, so I ordered the Amazon two pack of gold mesh reusable filters for 5-6 cup makers. They fit perfectly, and I rotate them so that one is always dry. I finally have my dream coffee set up . Read more

Very disappointed. The carafe is poorly designed. The top opening is so small my hand barely fits inside to thoroughly wash it. It also does not pour smoothly so it drips on the counter no matter how slowly I try to pour. Read more
