These are soft and got the job done. I think they’re ideal for newborns because they are on the smaller side, and the elastic was comfortable on my new born wrist no red marks. I bought these for my baby. She is almost 2 months and they still fit her. These have the best fit of all the mittens that I’ve received. They stay on and they’re breathable. I don’t need to worry about her fingers sweating. But maybe they’re not best for winter. Also the colors match everything. The material is safe so I’m not worried about her eating her hands either. Soft and lightweight. Did not buy for warmth but to keep my newborn from scratching her face. The kept falling off her hands though so we just stopped wearing. Now that she’s older they would probably fit pretty good but we’re now at the age where she figured out she has hands and constantly has them in her mouth and sucks her thumb to self-soothe, which I’m not going to discourage since it is good for her development.
