We’ve only used this electric knife sharpener a couple of times so far, but our experience has been positive overall. It definitely improves the sharpness of our knives, even ones that were fairly dull to begin with. This thing works really well! It takes up a good bit of space, but the weight/heft of it keep it stable on the countertop, and the action is smooth. I put about 4 different knives through it, in addition to my pocket knife, and it's a very quick way to easily sharpen any smooth bladed knife. My chef knife was PERFECTLY sharp after use.
