I got this rice cooker to replace my old well-used Joyce Chen one after its lid broke and this was definitely the right choice! It works even better the the old one. This little rice cooker is revolutionary! I love being able to make delicious rice that is hands off. I'm so used to cooking it on the stove and having to realy watch it for burning or drying out while cooking. This cooks my favorite long grain rice perfectly in 20 total minutes. The cooker is solid, and I LOVE the cover that prevents overflow, it works every time. I can get 6 servings of rice done so easily and it is good for reheating my soups and for steaming vegetables. I've done broccoli and cauliflower in 7 minutes for either. I think everyone should have one of these for convenience and hands-off cooking. Read more

I followed the instructions and it still boiled over in my microwave before the cook time was even completed. I noticed that the inside lid that is supposed to help it not boil over doesn't fit well. It pops out of place. I think i am just out of luck. Read more

A small cost, for something that has many uses. I just made my first dinner: raw chicken wings, not pre-cooked ones. I made them in orange juice and a delicious Caribbean seasoning in 12 minutes. 6 minutes, stir a little, and then another 6 minutes. So delicious, and they don't come out dry or tough; they're cooked just right. Read more
