These things WORK. I was able to extend my walks by over 3 k by using these inserts. My lower back was causing pain during my walks (typically 8-10 k) even with new supportive walking shoes. Once I inserted these the pain was gone. ONE complaint: the included adhesive is worthless. It won't hold the inserts in place. Instead, use 3M's Two Sided sticky tape; THIS stuff will keep the inserts properly placed come running or quick walking. VERY MUCH worth the price. If you're a long distance walker, these are a lifesaver. Not sure about warmth: it's not something I want in a shoe and these don't cause my feet to get hot.
