I'm becoming a die hard fan of Pro Raso shaving cream. This tin has some of their "pre-shave" treatment cream -- seems to help a bit on my neck's sensitive spots and gives me a smoother shave --, shaving cream, and aftershave balm. This variety's classice eucalyptis & menthol scent is refreshing and brisk. The tin is rather nice too -- quaint retro design -- and can be reused for keeping other things in. I have the lid of the Toccasana tin in my medicine cabinet for a retro, nostalgic look. I've found the pre-shave is more than just a luxury, when I do a few things before lathering up (I shave after the shower to get my beard soft) it keeps the whiskers moist and soft for a smooth single-blade shave. In all, I like this, the apple & lime (Toccasana gift set for sensitive skin) and the "blue" variety (protective and moisturinging, with aloe and Vitamin E; spicy scent with amber & musk notes) a lot, both for the scents, quality, and value-for-dollar. TOTAL class. The super cool vintage tin also makes it a natural gift and is worth keeping around. If you haven't tried preshaving cream or Proraso in general before---warning, there's no going back. This kit plus a good boar bristle shaving brush and bowl opens up a new world of shaving excellence. You'll wonder why you ever settled for less. The essential preshaving cream in particular is expensive to replace, but a tiny amount does its thing very well when applied using the brush. By the time you add the shaving cream over it, the combined rich lather (and of course a high quality razor) makes it so easy to get the smoothest, closest shave ever! Never fails to make you feel like a million bucks, and the products have such clean, complimentary scents when all three are used together. The more subtle aftershave balm is a perfect finish. I think of what it must have been like to be Dean Martin getting ready to hit the stage at The Sands in the early days....definitely old school class, a sophisticated experience that never goes out of style. These Proraso gift sets are excellent and worth every penny. The shaving cream works very well, but wish the tubes were a little bigger. I have not come across a pre-shave cream that compares any of the Proraso variations. The aftershave is fairly basic, but does the job. When everything is used up, you are left with a nice looking tin container that can be repurposed. Read more

Love this package! The tin is truly old-fashioned design, but the products are the most important. I love the scent and how refreshing the preshave is! I absolutely love the shaving cream. The cooling menthol feels great. I'm a head shaver and I do get razer burn occasionally. I've used this kit with the pre shave ,shave cream, and after shave balm. It's been working great with keeping the razor burn away. The cooling sensation of the menthol is real nice to me. The scent of the after shave balm is very subtle, the pre shave and shave cream are nice and strong scents. I really like it. Read more
Good vfm The shaving cream creates very nice good thick foam (using a shaving brush). The pre shave cream is a very nice addition to the shaving process as an extra. I’m not sure how effective it is for softening the skin before. but it is definitely very cooling and awaking, maybe even kind of the opposite of warming relaxing as u would expected it to be before shaving.
