I've tried third-party filters and despite "perfect fit" claims, they don't fit my PUR countertop dispenser very well and unfiltered water leaks around the gasket to contaminate the filtered water. So I stick to PUR filters. But if you want to buy in bulk, buy multiple 4-packs, not 8-packs. PUR should be embarassed by the "best value" claim they attach to the 8-pack. You'll pay more than TWICE as much per filter if you buy the 8-pack size, for the same product. It's certainly the best value for PUR, but only someone who is really bad at math will think this is a good deal. Read more
