directionsTransitioning Your Cats Successfully 1. Set up your new BREEZE Litter System next to your current litter box. If you don't currently use a litter box with high sides or a top, remove the BREEZE sidewall for now. 2. Move some clumps and solid waste from your current box to the clean BREEZE system. This will help your cats recognize their new bathroom. Once they start using the BREEZE box, you can remove the clumps and solid waste. 3. Stop cleaning the old litter box. Cats like clean, so make the new BREEZE box the most appealing option by not scooping the old box. Sounds gross, but this step is key to a successful transition. 4. Toss out that old box completely once your cats have started using the BREEZE system for all of their potty needs. Expert Tips Be patient. BREEZE Litter System is very different from traditional litter boxes, and some cats may take longer than others to make the switch. • Don't force your cats into the BREEZE box as this could frighten them. Let them explore on their own. It's important they make the choice to use it. • Set up BREEZE right beside their previous box. Putting it in the same location helps minimize the change your cats are experiencing. • Give your cats space. Let them explore the new box on their own. Even cats prefer a little privacy when they are doing their business! Animal behaviorists recommend multiple cat households have multiple litter boxes: one system per cat, plus one additional system (2 cats = 3 litter systems). Simple Setup and Maintenance 1. Snap the sidewall onto the grated base. 2. Place a cat pad (soft side up) in the BREEZE litter system drawer and side into the base 3. Fill the top portion of the box with one package of litter pellets. 4. Scoop out solid waste and dispose of daily. Note: Pellets do not clump. 5. Add more pellets as needed. We recommend that you replace the pellets completely once a month. 6. Slide drawer out to replace disposable pad. Drawer can be rotated without touching the pad to extend pad life.

Best litter system we've usedd

JeffDecember 29, 2025

We've been using this system for years with multiple cats and have been very pleased with it. For the most part, it does well at reducing odors, especially urine. Another positive is that these litter boxes are easy to clean. No dealing with wet clumps of litter. The included scoop also easily separates the pellets from the poo. The pads do well to absorb and contain the urine even with multiple cats. The best part is that is that your little feline friends won't be tracking little granules of litter throughout the house. You will find the occassional pellet of two has escaped to just outside the litter box or at most within a few feet of it, but are easy enough to pick up and toss back in the box. It might appear that is system is more expensive, but in the long run, it really isn't that bad. Purina recommends changing the pellets every 30 days, but we have found that it is quite possible to get as much as 45 to 60 days. So that helps, plus the ease of this system makes that extra expense well worth it. Read more

My cats approve!

Monica KOctober 5, 2025

Purina Tidy Cats Litter Pellets are the best litter I’ve ever used! They’re super easy to clean, last a long time, and don’t track around the house. I’ve noticed there’s no lingering smell throughout the day, which is a huge plus. Both of my cats share one litter box, and it’s been incredibly efficient—no issues at all in the 6 months I’ve been using it. It’s also more cost-effective in the long run. Highly recommend! Eliminates odor!

DebbieNovember 16, 2025

By far the BEST cat litter system ever. I’ve used for 8 years and my friends don’t even believe I have a cat! Eliminates odors- the pellets dehydrate the feces and the pads absorb urine and odor. I do change pads twice a week. I change out the pellets once a month. Will never go back to traditional litter Read more

Work Well, bit Pricey

ArbyJuly 19, 2024

We've had the Breeze XL litter box for awhile, and overall I think it's a great option. For a year or two we used wood pellets, which you can get far cheaper, and that worked OK, but without a properly designed base, all that sawdust is unmanageable unless you're emptying it daily. We moved back to the Breeze pellets, and the biggest downside is the cost. I usually shop around for the best price before buying, often one of the pet specific stores has them a few dollars cheaper per 7lb bag (I don't ever get 3.5, it's not worth it). Pellets do exactly what they're supposed to, let the liquid through and keep the solids above, and dehydrate them a bit. I'm not sure if the dehydrating aspect is from the pellets or just being exposed to the air, but regardless, it happens. Smell-wise, it's surprisingly effective. It's not 100%, so I'd fully expect guests to notice if you keep it in a higher use area (remember that pet smell blindness is a thing, you don't realize what you get used to). My only caveat is that sometimes you'll get a... delivery, that has a bit more grip than the rest, and so takes several pellets with it. In my mind it's like I just tossed a handful of coins in the trash, with the cost of these things. If anyone ever makes an affordable knock-off, be sure I'll be on it. Also, get a litter-genie (or diaper-genie!) they work perfectly alongside these pellets, and since you aren't actually throwing out litter, refills last forever. Read more

Excellent Odor Control and Long-Lasting Pellets—Worth the Higher Cost

Thomas R. ReviewsNovember 30, 2025

Pros: These Breeze litter pellets perform exceptionally well. For my single cat, they last almost 50% longer than the packaging suggests, which makes the overall system more efficient than expected. They also do an excellent job at eliminating odor—my litter box sits in a large basement, which may help with airflow, but even up close there’s virtually no smell. The system as a whole is far cleaner and easier than scooping traditional litter, and there's no tracking or dust to deal with. Cons: The only real downside is the cost. The pellets, pads, and even the litter box itself are all on the pricier side. Still, considering the convenience and cleanliness, it feels worth it. Final Thoughts: Despite being a bit expensive, the Breeze system delivers on performance and odor control. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cleaner, low-smell alternative to standard litter. Read more
