Bigger filter, better filtration? I'm getting the boss
I drive a Toyota Prius with over 300,000 miles on it and wanted to kind of flush or renew the engine as I bought it high mileage. With this filter and restore and protect I got up to 48mpg and the acceleration Felt less harsh than with the Regular purolator filter... I have only been driving with the regular filter and restore and protect for maybe 600 miles but there's so much of a diff that I went ahead and ordered a few of these filters to go ahead n change the filter back... For $4 more dollars I'll do what makes the car feel better to me. Read more

Amazon will 100% adjust pricing on these dynamically. Do NOT spend 10 dollars on a *TL* line of oil filters; this is basically their 'shop level' filter, and while they're good, solid filters, the "L" line, what you can legit buy from <local place>, is going to be 10$. These should be like 3.50, max. You can 100% get these cheaper than 10 bucks a pop on Ebay, bulk. Filter wise, they're the "Tech" line, so they're just 'not as good' as the L+ line. But they're solid filters, just be cognizant of what you're buying and paying. Read more
It’s very good
I have cut open several new oil filters. The new Fram Ultra has a leaky bypass valve seen by light test. I confirmed this myself after reading an online test. They removed the gasket on the end cap. Not using them again, it’s a fail. Still have some older Ultras that were good. This budget filter made in India has excellent pleats, a well sealing bypass valve, coil spring retainer, and holes not louvers inside. Appears clean and well made everywhere, and thick can. The anti drain valve is nitrile. The coil spring is strong and holds the parts in the can and to the base very tightly. Read more
cheaper than gold cover.
I am using this longer version of L14476 for my Prius. Previously, used PureONE with a gold cover at double the cost. PureONE worked well. It seemed to keep my oil cleaner longer. When I checked the oil after extended time, the oil color was more clear than when I was using the OEM Toyota filter. I change my oil at around 7500mi. using PurePNE and M1 Syn. oil. I am giving this one a try. I think it will filter just as well for half the cost. We'll see. Read more
