Works Great!

We've been having issues with my 7 year old and flossing so we decided to try the water flosser. It is a bit messy while you're getting the hang of it but after the second use my 7 year old was able to do it by her self with minimal water mess. I will suggest a waterproof bib or a towel as your shirt will get wet. Read more

My husband and I hate flossing.

AlysonTCMarch 13, 2016✓ Verified purchase

This makes a very unexpected difference! My husband and I hate flossing.. and we always have. We love our Sonicare tooth brush and it cleans our teeth really well, but my mouth has never felt so clean (besides going to the dentist) until we got this. Our breath isn't stinky when we wake up, and its nice to see all of the gunk getting flushed out while you clean. The set up of this is very convenient, and the pressure is so great we haven't had to put it above level 4. It's timed really well and it's nice to also have the tongue scraper attachment. Some of the best money we have ever spent :) Read more

Piece of crap

Paul StuartApril 14, 2017✓ Verified purchase

I bought two of these in December of 2015. The first one just stopped pumping after about 4 months. My wife had not used the second one so I copped it and it worked for almost a year and then the pump delivered dribbles. I took it apart to see if there was something stuck in the lines or the pump intake. Nothing. So I tried pumping various solvents and detergents through it in case there was something deeper in the pump mechanism. In that process the pump went slower and slower until the motor broke loose from the pump mechanism and whirred full speed. Get the conclusion? Don't buy it!!! Shame on Pursonic!! Read more

Good, but could use some design improvements.

DeeMay 6, 2016✓ Verified purchase

I like this oral irrigator and feel like my mouth and teeth are much cleaner than before I used it. However, I feel like the design could be improved upon with a stronger magnet to attach the wand. Also sometimes when at press the button to turn it on, the machine slips away from me and considering that I already have the nozzle in my mouth that is not too good of a set up. Generally I like it, tho, and in fact, enough to get one for my son. Read more

Much better than Waterpick!

Susan L CookDecember 13, 2015✓ Verified purchase

I bought this because we went through 4 Waterpick brand flossers in a few years; they just break down, and it was time to find an alternative. This Pursonic had good reviews on a couple of dental sites. It is definitely quieter than the Waterpick brand and just seems more solidly built. You press the round grey dial inward to turn it on and off, then turn the dial to adjust the water flow; you do not have pre-set flow levels, you have total control. The size is more compact than the "family sized" units, but the water tank is very adequate for a single use. The hand set sits in a bracket on the outside; the way it hangs is a bit different, but it works. The machine pauses ever so briefly every 30 seconds, to let you monitor how long you use it. I have had this about 2 weeks and really like it. It is a bit more expensive than some, but since the cheaper ones break down after a year or so, it may be well worth it! Read more

It's good, not excellent.

Brenda WilsonJuly 20, 2016✓ Verified purchase

I have been using this for several months now, and It is OK, but not a 5-star. I used a Waterpik Water Flosser for years and when it died I replaced it with this. I liked the Waterpik better. Watch out for the button that discharges the cleaning head, it is in a bad spot and more than once I have been cleaning my teeth and suddenly got a face full of water! You also have to very picky about putting the reservoir back on after filling it. If the rubber gaskets are not exactly right you don't get any water. But it does a pretty good cleaning job.
