This is the best sugar sub there is out there! There are no other ingredients added (like dextrose), it's just pure (Pyure) stevia plant extract! At first, I thought it seemed a little expensive, but I'm glad I decided to give it a try. This should last for a while before I need to re-order. When I used stevia which was in the raw (whatever that's supposed to mean), I noticed dextrose was also on the ingredient list. I bought those in packets and found myself using 2 packets for a cup of coffee. With this stuff, I just use a tap or two in my coffee and the effect is just SWEET! The very tiny "sprinkle-like" balls hit the coffee and dissolve very quickly. This small container will last for months and months. I believe this product also comes in packets and loose form but in my opinion, you'll probably end up using too much at a time. The only drawback that I can come up with? It's going to be very difficult to measure the correct amount to use in your favorite recipes. Good thing they also have granular and liquid products for that use! Read more

Of course it doesn’t taste like sugar! Stevia has a different flavor than sugar. Is it bad? No. Is it different than sugar? Yes. Sugar has its own flavor, which would seem weird to us if we started out with Stevia and were switching to sugar. But don’t let the flavor variance phase you, as it takes time to get used to it. What I’d recommend from personal experience, is don’t aim for ‘very sweet’, aim for ‘slightly sweet’ and as you get accustomed to the flavor, adjust accordingly. As far as Stevia products go, this is the best I’ve tried, both in purity and flavor - which is a vast improvement over the mixed/blended products out there in my opinion. It’s a little messy until you get used to dealing with it (very much like powdered sugar in consistency). The scoop is the best way to dole it out, in my opinion, but I’d really like a longer handle and a place to store it that isn’t inside the container. Finding the scoop and getting it out is a messy proposition that wastes product and there is no external means of attaching the scoop so that it doesn’t wander away. My solution for this was to tape it to the outside of the container with a section in the center of the tape where I covered the adhesive (creating a simple loop that holds the scoop securely). The sprinkle top is just ok, it’s still messy but now it’s harder to tell how much you are using - this is because of how fine the product is and the fact that you can’t see every particle that lands in your food or drink (not to mention how much becomes airborne while employing this method - if breathing in sweet air is your goal, this is an excellent method to use). The other item to note is that this product has a tendency to clump-up when used. Plan to break it up with a spoon while you mix, especially if the food or drink is cold. Other brands have ‘solved’ this problem by adding silicone. I’ll let you decide if that’s the solution for you. Excellent product…wish it was less expensive…but I’m cheap and that’s a problem I struggle with. Still…it’s worth the money, even for me. I’d highly recommend trying this out. Read more

Careful when opening the jar, there is a mini spoon buried in the stevia powder. The spoon is very small because the stevia powder is very pure indeed. The brand I was previously using had more volume due to an additive. So level the powder carefully with a knife tip before dropping it in your drink. The taste is fine in my hibiscus tea but gives a bitter, unpleasant taste in coffee. Read more

Pure brand Stevia in this container, which is the "powdered" version (with a very fine consistency similar to say powdered sugar), is the best tasting Stevia out there. It is very concentrated, which means you only need a very small amount to sweeten a cup of coffee or glass of iced tea. Again, it is a very fine powder so can be somewhat hard to control when using the little scoop that comes inside. I personally transfer the entire contents into a different container, which totally solves that issue. Even so, I would not want the manufacturer to change a thing - the taste is too good as it is! It's 'pure' Stevia (no pun intended) with no additives - and it's organic!! We (my husband and I - he also loves this brand of Stevia) have tried other brands of Stevia in an effort to save a few dollars, but always end up coming back to Pure brand. It is not bitter; maybe if you use too much, it might be. You have to start out using a very small amount, taste your item, and go from there. And if you're new to using Stevia, you may also need to 'adapt' your taste buds to the 'new' flavor of Stevia from the other crud-for-you artificial sweeteners that you may be using currently. Is it worth the price? Yes! The taste is great and for us is never bitter, it's pure in form and organic. And this container can last a very long time because of how little is needed to sweeten. We also like the packets, which is "granular" not powdered; I keep these in my purse for using at restaurants. We do find that the "powdered" version is more concentrated and therefore you need less of it than the "granular" version, but both taste great!! And my husband really likes the liquid that is gently squirted into a drink, oatmeal, etc., which also tastes great!! Read more
