I recently got bitten by some aggressive biting insects that got inside my home when the door was open. I purchased an anti-itch cream that works really well for most of the bites. The problem that I had was having to apply the cream with my fingers and then having to scrub my hands to get the product off of them. It also got into my nails. I tried using cotton pads instead, to massage the cream into the bites, but that used up way too much product that way. I decided to try using a cotton swab instead. The ones that I already had in my home didn't work well at all. They bent way too easily and the cotton tip wasn't a good quality kind. I purchased the Q-Tips to see if that would make a difference. It really did! They are much stronger, and the cotton tip is a much better quality than the other brands are. One Q-Tip worked, but I decided to try 2 Q-Tips together instead. That really makes a difference! You can hold them together with a piece of scotch tape on the stick part, but I don't even bother doing that. I just hold the sticks together with my fingers. I put the cream directly on the bites that way, from the tube, and massage it into the skin without it ever touching my fingers at all! No hand washing necessary afterwards!! Read more

From hygiene, to detailing, to crafts, Q-Tips are still the best. Unlike brands with plastic stems, these do not have a sharp edge and, big plus, are biodegradable. They have the perfect amount of cotton on the tips, so they do the job without scraping. Once moist, the cardboard stems do become soft/flexible, so if you're needing exceptional sturdiness for a certain craft or cleaning project I'd recommend getting the ones with the wooden stems. I'm a real consumer writing real, uncompensated reviews. I take the time to give feedback on my purchase experience because I find other honest reviews helpful, and I'm tired of all the fake reviews on this site that are ruining the ability to research a product before buying it. So, if you found my review helpful, please take the time to rate it as such, not because I'll get anything out of it, but so that others can see true reviews. Thanks and Happy Shopping! Read more
