There is a smooth rubber grip along the crossbar that recents sliding as well. My mattress feels stable and supported. There is no noise, movement or squeaking either. Assembly took me about an hour since I was doing it by myself. I accidentally installed a couple of pieces the wrong way at first, so I had to unscrew and redo them lol, but it wasn’t too difficult.
