While not what I would call this tasty, it's not so bad that I would say it is unpalatable. So I tried it, BUT about a minute into brushing, I started retching, so I spit the toothpaste out and rinsed my mouth MANY times. The dry-heaves were so violent that it left my stomach and sides hurting. This next morning I got up with no appetite and have BAD diarrhea, and feel like vomiting. IMHO, It 'feels' at the very least like I have had a terrible reaction to something in this toothpaste. Also please NOTE that everyone in the house ate the same meals as I did yesterday, and no one else got sick. The only thing I was exposed to that no one else in the house we, was using this toothpaste. IMHO I feel there is something my body found extremely objectionable, or possibly allergic to in this. I try to use toothpaste that has fewer ingredients and no fluoride. You really have to look through this listing to find out that the product is fluoride free. In one of the pictures it says, "wholesome eliminate the hazards of fluoride." I'm not sure why they don't make this more clear. It doesn't appear on the ingredients list on the toothpaste box. This is good. Unfortunately, it has too many other ingredients for my liking. Things that I'd rather not ingest, like sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium saccharin. I shouldn't have assumed that because the listing says that this product contains bamboo charcoal and is natural, that it would then have a smaller and cleaner ingredient list. That mistake is on me. As far as the tooth whitening properties are concerned, I haven't used it long enough to know how well it works for this purpose. The toothpaste has a very mild taste. Nothing too sweet or harsh. This is something that I appreciate. If the whitening properties do indeed work, I might consider using it intermittently. Very intermittently. But frankly, I took a shot with this toothpaste because I was able to get it free through the Amazon Vine program. I wouldn't have purchased it at the $29.99 three pack price.
