Amazon invited me to review this as part of the Vine program. They don't call it PU leather because the leather stinks, but rather because it is made of polyurethane to look like leather and feel like leather. That means that no cows or pigs were harmed in the making of this bag, and you better get one before the petroleum runs out ;-). (I never see a bag at this price point that is actual leather. "Ethically-sourced" is another term I see for NOT leather leather. Seriously, this is a nice bag with a pleasant texture on the outside and matching fabric lining on the inside. It is one large pocket that might fit lots of files or two or three large textbooks (for students) as well as my 15" laptop (wide format screen) in its protective cover. I do suggest using a protective cover as there is not extensive padding built in around the laptop sleeve. Smaller laptops and tablets will fit with room to spare. There are lots of additional pockets--an inside zipper pocket opposite the laptop sleeve, a second pocket that straps closed along with the padded (only on the inside) laptop pocket, and outside zipper pocket that flaps open and contains a key hanger, card, wallet, cell, mouse, power brick, cables, and loose storage areas, with two magnetic close pockets under one large flap outside it and a cute looking spot for two pens in the middle between the two pockets under the flap. (I think I would put the mouse and any cables in one of these pockets and the power brick in the other to keep them separate from the rest of the bag. I always take a mouse.) There are no feet on the bottom so it will rest directly on the bottom of the bag. The back also has a luggage strap to fit over the pullup handle on a rollerboard carryon and this will fit nicely under an airplane seat. The soft woven detachable carrying strap has metal swivel buckles, an adjustable length with a metal slider, and a small slightly padded weight distribution patch to sit on your shoulder. When I head into a business meeting, it’s important to be prepared and have a professional image. And that’s exactly what this quality briefcase provides. The faux leather material has a textured finish and trim piping around the front and back panels. The bag zips open across the top and four inches down the sides for easy loading. The interior is lined and has two padded dividers with a Velcro strap, a full-width zipper pocket, and plenty of room for files, notepads, and my laptop. The front has a zip-open section with four pockets and four ID/credit card slips. The zipper opens on three sides and has fabric side panels keep things from falling out. The front of this section has a dual magnetic snap flap that covers two additional pockets and two pen/stylus slips. The back of the case has a luggage strap to travel hands-free. There are two faux leather handles on the top and a separate 1-1/2” wide woven strap with a shoulder pad that clips to metal d-loops on the sides with heavy-duty hardware. The strap is adjustable to 58” long. My only issue with this item is that the adjustment slider on the shoulder strap is too wide to slip under the shoulder pad, so when I change the length, the shoulder pad doesn’t sit on my shoulder (see photo). This laptop bag is much higher quality than I was anticipating for sure! It is really beautiful in person and is a nice deep brown color. It exudes sophistication. There are pockets Galore with organization pockets on this and it would be great not only for daily use for an office but also for traveling as well. All of the hardware used in constructing this bag seems to be very good quality and durable. The Straps to go over the pull up handle on A. suitcase is very generously sized and is a very convenient touch if you are using this for traveling or presentations. It is very well packaged as far as everything being wrapped and protected although it shipped in just a plastic bag. I Would highly recommend this either for personal use or as a gift. There is leather padding on the shoulders strap, but it is not overly large so if you are very broad it might be a little small for you. I have included many pictures with this review so you can fully grasp how well this bag will be for you if you are typically not organized as everything will have a specific place. It is a very large capacity and would hold everything you need. Very well worth the listing price in exceeds expectations compared to others on the market. Read more
