I like how it pops all the way open when you press the up arrow. It's nice and big so there is less dripping off the sides onto me like some other umbrellas. Make sure to always hit the up arrow to open and down arrow to close, and to use your hands to close it all the way. I was in a hurry one day with my first umbrella like this and just pressed the top against the door and broke it. I blame myself for this because I didn't pay attention to where the buttons were and accidentally pressed it while closing....this will make more sense after you get yours. I purchased this umbrella a few years ago, and it is so fantastic, sturdy, and reliable. I love the venting, and the canopy is just big enough for it being a compact umbrella. What’s even better, is the replacement guarantee we had a particularly bad wind storm where this umbrella was put through its paces, and as a result, there were a few fabric tears from the spokes.
