I chose this dog bed for its potential use while traveling and for use outside. My dog is a weirdo, she chooses to rest on the cement slab at the backdoor when I am outside. Not in the grass, where it would be more comfortable, but right on the darn cement slab. I can't imagine why, and I worry about her comfort. There is no room for an extra bed to keep by the back door, nor do I want to move her bed across the house every time she's going to lounge outside. The folding dog bed is small enough to stash near the back door so it's ready to use. The set up is easy and very quick. My poor dog took a little time to get used it. I think she didn't trust the feeling of stepping onto fabric even though it's taught. She seems to like her folding bed now though. We also had the opportunity to take the bed while visiting family. It compacts down pretty small and doesn't take up a ton of space among the luggage. It's certainly better than taking a whole foam dog bed which does not fold up as small and is much heavier. Having the folding bed gives me the peace of mind that I won't have to put my dog on some hard floor with only towels or blankets for cushion. The only thing that keeps me from giving this dog bed five stars is my impression of the quality over all. It's lightweight nature makes it feel a little flimsy, so it's hard to tell how long it will last. So far I have been putting a towel over the bed when my dog uses it because I am a little afraid of her claws puncturing the cloth. So far this seems to have taken a little stress off of the fabric. Solid choice for a traveling raised dog bed; it's honestly so big my toddler lays on it with my dog to cuddle. My dog, she's very old, and even though the bed's raised, she had no problem getting up on it. It's perfect for summer months since it's made of mesh. Honestly, it doesn't feel or look very comfortable; she keeps scratching and moving around, so I added a cushion on one side, and she preferred the bed with the cushion. Quality of stitching seems fine; it hasn't come undone, but the legs don't all touch the ground, so it is a little wobbly when she moves around. Read more
