It’s really rare for a frozen meal to taste homemade, but Rao’s Meat Lasagna nails it. I took one bite and was instantly reminded of my mom’s lasagna—simple, well-balanced, and not overloaded with spices, but consistently comforting and satisfying. The portion is filling, and super simple to heat up on a busy day, especially when you're looking for home-cooked comfort but don't have the time! Buy the larger serving, and give your family a solid meal that never tastes like it was frozen! My mom's not one for fancy ingredients, just well-cooked, solid meals, and that’s exactly the vibe here. The pasta is tender, reliable, the sauce is rich without being overwhelming and has almost no heat level, and the meat is flavorful. Even as someone who loves spice, I didn’t feel the need to add anything—but if you’re the type who wants to dress it up, it’s easy to toss on some basil, garlic, or fresh cracked pepper. PROS: ✔️ Genuinely tastes homemade ✔️ Perfectly cooked pasta and meat layers ✔️ Easy to customize—but doesn’t need it ✔️ Great portion size for a satisfying dinner CONS: ✖️ Milder flavor profile (which might not be bold enough for some) BUT so quick to dress up! Definitely give it a try. If you're looking for a frozen lasagna that doesn’t taste like a frozen lasagna, this is the one to try. Read more

Although I do not usually review food, Rao's meat lasagna is one of my favorites. Very tasty and well made. Like most Rao's products, it is worth the extra money. Read more

Campbells swore no changes so I'm confused. For some reason keep frozen was written on it but has water as a main ingredient. There needs to be moisture but I recommend tomato sauce or something to be added not water. When it freezes the crystals will make it watery where as tomato is more of a solution. This is sarcasm as they did add tomato sauce so not sure why the water. It taste fine but yeah snack size. The issue here is that it was in the middle about maybe 1/2 inch then empty on the sides the tray it's self would be a decent size but maybe I was cheated. Ill give another shot later. But being way more per oz then Stouffer's doesn't inspire much. Was going to try rana but can't buy on Amazon so not much to compaire to. Actually feel a little skimp on the beef too. The noodles were great and cheese despite not looking like much when frozen did turn out well. Now I'll try sauces by the brand as it was well too. Just make smaller trays or fill them. Add a scoop of meat and ditch the added water or at least less. Read more

I got this for my elderly mother. She said it tasted good. It was easy to prepare in the microwave. Good texture. Nice fillings. It cooked fast enough. The size was a good portion for her. Highly recommend! Read more

This lasagna lives up to the Rao's name. For me, it's all in the sauce, and this one is the ONLY prepared lasagna I will eat from now on. It's not often, but sometimes I just get a craving for it and I'm terrified of making it myself, or I might "forget" to freeze most of it. So it's usually a for-company-only thing. It's not like my own, but hey...for a frozen entree....not bad! :) P.S. I used the conventional oven method and it was worth the wait! (Also sprinkled more parmesan while it was still oven-hot) Read more
