Please bare with this long review. We live off-grid in a tiny cabin with no closet. There is no pavement for miles, which means there is a lot of dust in this area. This closet was easy to put together with the cover to hide and protect our clothes from the dust, and it is very sturdy! We are tall people, and we adjusted the shelves to enable our clothes to hang freely. I highly recommend this closet. It's perfect with plenty of space for clothes & shoes. I assembled this alone and had no problem doing it without a second person. I am 62 years old and only 5'3" tall, so I did have to stand on a chair to put the top shelves on and to give them a little whack at the end on top, per the instructions. It only took me 40 minutes to put this together, and I went very slowly and methodically. I did sit the day before and read through the instructions a couple of times, so I would be familiar with the process. We will use this for our "Foster Care Essentials" organization and once we have the coats on matching wooden hangers, the overall look will be very professional. The unit is very sturdy and arrived on time and in excellent condition. The packaging was such that everything was protected. You can see that there isn't a ton of room on top because the ceilings in our space are rather low, but we still are able to fit a ton on this. I would not hesitate to purchase this. Needed clothes hanging racks in a basement we are turning into a studio apartment. I wanted some that would not be falling apart or tipping over in a week. This product fulfilled those needs along with being super easy to assemble. The ingenious tapered sleeves for the shelf locations makes it extra sturdy & easy to adjust. The screw together metal posts were small in diameter but incredibly strong. When assembled and the shelves are tapped down tight with a rubber mallet the unit is very sturdy & stable. Can be anchored to the wall if desired for extra stability but I chose not to in order to move around. My tip would be to put the lower shelf as low as allowed, the highest shelf as high as allowed, & the middle shelf a couple inches up or down from center in order to have the space for hanging shirts in the larger space & pants in the smaller space. This portable closet came in such a compact box that we weren’t sure it was the whole unit, but when opened we could see that everything was thoughtfully packed. We set up a table near where we intended to put the closet and the 2 of us septuagenarians started unpacking and sorting components, all of which were clearly labeled. I had to laugh at the instructions because each step included, firstly, instructions on how to interpret the instructions, but they were clear and included both words and pictures. We moved through setup and completion without a break and are so pleased with the result. The ability to configure shelves and hanging rods to fit our storage needs was simple and the result is just what we hoped. Altogether, it took us about 2 hours from start to finish.
