I got the Razer Barracuda X Chroma for my gaming setup, and it’s been awesome. The wireless (2.4 GHz + Bluetooth) connection is solid with zero noticeable lag. It’s super lightweight and comfortable for long sessions. Sound is crisp and immersive, and the mic works great in capturing voice clearly. The Chroma RGB is a fun touch. Battery life is impressive — lasts a long time even with heavy use. Highly recommend for PC, console, or mobile. Read more

Razer is great, as are their products. That is why the 5 stars. The renewed service is not great and they get 0/5. This was the second pair I'd bought that had a problem. The first one had the dongle missing from the packaging. I was able to return that. The second had an issue with the lights. As you can see, one of the internal lights is burnt out so the colors are not what they should be. I wasn't able to get a replacement or return through Amazon and, as they are not an authorized reseller with Razer, Razer was not able to issue a replacement. Razer was able to help me in the end, but it should have been fixed by Amazon. They are obviously not educated enough to be guaranteeing the products are actually working when they send them back out. Read more

Great battery life, one charge will last me several multi hour sessions. The design is sleek and simple and it doesn't feel too heavy. I don't like heavy headsets. The sound quality is pretty good too. Not 100% the best I've ever had, but it'll get you buy. If you boost some of the EQ values I'm sure it'd sound even better. Mic quality is a bit desiring but using a program like VoiceMeeter fixes it very easily - you just need to add compression and up your noise gate. Bluetooth connectivity is perfect as well. the cups fit well over my ears and the headset only shifts if i lean back... but I think that's a me problem, and not a fault of the headset. Read more

I honestly feel cheated with this product. Unlike my older Razer ManO’War, which installs properly as a headset, the Barracuda X is detected in Windows only as generic “Speakers (USB Audio).” That means terrible sound quality, no proper headset driver, and constant issues with audio profiles. The so-called “7.1 Surround Sound” app is a joke — it installs useless drivers, conflicts with Windows features, and makes the experience even worse. This headset might work fine on consoles or mobile, but for PC gaming it’s a complete letdown. Razer cut corners by not providing real drivers, and the result is audio that sounds cheap and flat. If you expect PC quality from Razer, don’t waste your money here. Read more

My daily driver, since my old Logitech died. The only modification I made was I use the ear pads from my old Logitech headphones, which have not fallen off because they’re close enough in size. I don’t listen to music, but that sounds good for video games and watching TV show shows. A little pricey, but since I can use signal RGB to sync my case lights with the headphones, it was worth it. I also can’t comment on my quality because I don’t use it Also, the battery last a long time, and I can comfortably walk across the house and still have connection Read more

I got this two days ago, and man! I found the quality to be fantastic! Now. It was a bit troublesome at first. But that is because it needs a firmware update. So if others decide to get this product. Please go to the Razer Website to download the software needed. And for old folks, please find a tech savvy person to better understand this. Once the firmware updated, i was able to connect almost immediately! It may be a bit confusing to most, but there is a button to switch between the Wireless dongle and the Bluetooth mode. Press it twice to switch between the two. And once to switch the ambience you want. But, if you need a guide to pair the wireless dongle and the headset, The razer website also has a Downloadable pair utility tool. I was able to game and after i was done, i was switching to my phone for some good music afterwards. Read more
